  1. Go check those numbers again. Count the goals, then double check them, then ask @SwampD to count them, then check them together, then check one more time. Then come back. Lol, no! 12 goals against -2 empty net goals against = 8 goals allowed by goalies????? MATHS!!!
  2. My brother and sister in law got it. Both lost their sense of smell and taste. They are about 1 month out from losing it, and it’s started to come back this week. Also, a co-worker who had it sort of echoed what PA said about not losing taste fully but only being able to taste saltyness, as opposed to the actual flavor of things.
  3. Yup, just think it’s ok to ease him into it. Let him get like ten games in, then start working him in at C. If it goes great, that’s great! If it’s up and down, take it slow.
  4. Someone send @SwampDsome aloe vera, because he just got burned! 🔥 Maths. It’s what I’m here for.
  5. What exactly are they not allowed to do? The players can not spend time together outside of the facilities? I guess I didn’t realize that.
  6. I see no reason why Cozens shouldn’t be able to a C long term. I’d like to see him periodically get some time at C this season.
  7. Hope none of them get sick, and that the Sabres take advantage of their absence to the tune of 4 points this weekend.
  8. Goalies have not given up an average of two goals per game. 10 goals in 4 games is 2.5 goals per game.
  9. Last year he played about 10 games in the AHL and was mostly quite bad. Looks like he has been ok in Liiga, but not great. I see no sign that he is ready for the NHL. I would feel better about JJ or Tokarski in the Sabres net to be honest.
  10. You had your mind made up on this before the players touched the ice this season.
  11. I think that in this game, they did do it with regularity. Better than the Flyers did.
  12. It depends. At the pro level maybe not. Maybe coaching kids though. I think someone can still love hockey and also be ready to move on from it being the all encompassing thing in their life.
  13. I just really don’t think this is true. Sabres created a lot of good scoring chances. That’s not what I saw. Sabres were getting the puck to the goal area and creating dangerous chances. I am surprised that so many people are not seeing that.
  14. This is very cool. Thanks for sharing. And I’m happy for Casey.
  15. Olofsson had two great looks. Skinner had a great chance. Miller hit a post. There were chances. Just yesterday they scored multiple goals from scrambles at the net front. I see this team scoring goals and creating chances by getting the puck into high danger areas around the net. It’s a heck of a lot better than past teams where I watched them take 20 low danger shots from above the face off circles per game. I just don’t see what you are seeing. You think the Flyers had more high danger chances than the Sabres did tonight? I bet they didn’t. I’ll wager exactly one I toda so.
  16. Last season the team had an above average SH% at 5 on 5 and league average overall. That was their best mark in many years. Is it Krueger’s fault that Olofsson didn’t bury those two open looks? I actually thought that they had good chances and the puck was in dangerous areas a lot.
  17. Oh, I see. Yes, you agree that Krueger’s system is generating good chances, but it also are 100% certain that it doesn’t work. Maybe ease up on the “Krueger ruins all things offense” narrative?
  18. I would hope anyone watching (or counting) can see that the team has generated a fairly good amount of offensive chances and zone control. I don’t know what you are watching.
  19. It was a good game! Flyers post game talking about how they allowed a ton of good scoring chances to Buffalo.
  20. Yup, 11 SOG in 4 games is not enough.
  21. Extremely so. It’s a very controlled environment.
  22. Yesterday they didn’t.
  23. That one was just luck.
  24. Hockey is the most stupidly random game ever invented by Canadians.
  25. I actually think the Sabres have been plenty physical tonight. They aren’t getting bullied out there. Sheehan was bloodied because his teammate hit him with the puck in the face. Refs should consider calling a penalty for Flyers players who are trying to steal sticks from Sabres players.
