  1. Quiter!
  2. That would be the cutest! Seriously.
  3. It’s a relatively common given name.
  4. It wasn’t a religious reference. It was a reference to a character (a league bowler named Jesus) in a film scene.
  5. Haven’t watched The Big Lebowski, have you?
  6. I would probably just pull that trigger, depending on how discussions with other teams had gone so far. Drysdale is a great prospect and that 1st probably wouldn’t be too late.
  7. St. Louis Blues won the cup largely on the back of their D. Cups can certainly be won with a team better at defense than offense. It’s almost not worth presenting examples because basically any cup winner will have all of great forwards, great defensemen, and great (or at least hot) goaltending.
  8. I would not be surprised if Anderson does play more than 25 games. I know, he only played a few last season, but before that he played at least 31 games 11 of the previous 12 years. Previous 6 seasons GP: 4, 34, 50, 58, 40, 60 And unless something changes, the Sabres might not have a better option, so he probably will play.
  9. He didn’t do that. 2019-20, age 20 whole season, 48 points in 59 games 2020-21, age 21 whole season, 24 points in 37 games
  10. No one was using former draft spot to determine the current trade value of players.
  11. I was not familiar with Elvenes prior to focusing on the G Knights’ prospects. I think that’s more a function of not paying close attention to other teams prospects between the draft and NHL than anything else though. Elvenes was an unknown at draft time, but once a guy shows talent and production surpassing his draft slot, it’s no longer relevant. When Olofsson came over and was doing well in the AHL, would you have traded him for a late 2nd?
  12. Toronto metro area
  13. I wasn’t commenting on the proposed trade. I was only challenging your assessment of Schneider as a prospect.
  14. I would argue with Elvenes=2nd. A guy who was already very productive in the AHL at ages 20/21 is generally worth more than a late 2nd. Maybe if it was a late 1st/early 2nd I could agree.
  15. Schneider is a very good prospect. Like a right handed Samuelsson, with a little less size and a little more offense.
  16. Personally, I’m not including Johnson as an Eichel trade thrown in. He is a 1st round pick who is developing well.
  17. Interesting question. I would say that Krebs and Cozens are very close. I suppose I would give the edge to Cozens mostly because of NHL experience. I’d put them both a little ahead of Power. So, I’d have it Cozens, Krebs, Power right now.
  18. It would be a pretty meh return. Would love to get another puck out of them. Wouldn’t be surprised, or crushed though. Vegas would need to make another move to get cap compliant I think.
  19. Well, there would certainly need to be some salary. Tuch, Reilly, and Dadonov and the salary pieces that make the most sense.
  20. This stuff is so dumb. At this point, I really can bring myself to believe any of it. Apparently teams are in and out week to week. Brooks says that agents said that Drury said that he doesn’t even like Jack that much. Its like 13 year old girl social dynamics or something. It’s a bunch of BS.
  21. Actually, I think NHL teams generally do have influence on the training, and sometimes even usage, of their yet unsigned prospects. They watch their own prospects, invite them to prospect camps, give them advice on their games, give them training programs to follow, stuff like that. They invest in their prospects even if not signed yet. Sabres just need a solid goalie to bridge the gap. Teams don’t generally have several young goalie prospects signed. They need somewhere to play.
  22. Levi is also an unsigned prospect. Both would need to play 3 more years in college before becoming FA’s. Not too worried about it yet. No prospect (10x for goalies) is a sure thing, but from my perspective, they have 3 good prospects. So I think that is a decent foundation from a rebuilding perspective, especially considering that they have a strong pool of young D to pair that with.
  23. I went one time. It’s a lot of fun. For anyone who hasn’t been to a race: I’m not a huge NASCAR fan, but have friends and family who are. I enjoy it casually, and that’s enough to have a fun weekend at the races. It’s a unique experience.
  24. Maybe I missed a joke, but why? Eichel got a big deal too.
