Evander Kane - How good do you expect him to be?

No one here knows exactly what was going on in Winnipeg, and that's OK, as long as what happens in Winnipeg stays in Winnipeg. Kane has a completely clean slate and a chance to start his young career over again in Buffalo. What matters is what he shows us, how he behaves, and how he gels with his teammates in Buffalo going forward. That process hasn't really started yet. His performance this upcoming year will be slightly stunted as the roster continues to grow and fill out and Kane familiarizes himself with a new city, a new life, and a new team. I wouldn't try to analyze his game this upcoming season based on goals or points. Watch how he plays the game, how he controls the puck, and how he seems to be fitting it or not fitting in with the roster. This next season is still going to have some of Darcy's "pain" in it. -

Monday night, 8pm. Great game last night; fast paced, good scoring chances, outcome uncertain for its entirety. I wish the series was more physical than it has been, but that is not Chicago's game or TB's really. Chicago takes Game 3 back at home.

Chicago is still recovering from Game 7. Tampa might well win this one. I think we'll see a different Chicago in Game 2. Hoping for a good 3rd period.

He's super fast. It's crazy how fast he is. Hey! A goal!? Oh yes. That's a goal! If Anaheim can get past the 5-3 to start the 3rd and get a quick one, maybe they can build some momentum. What a disappointment so far.

I think they will calm down and play better in 2nd. I just want to see a great, close game so at this point I hope Anaheim gets the next goal.

Great at draws too. He does it all. Eleven's comment about Briere and Drury has me thinking of that Game 5 against the Rangers when Drury tied it with a few seconds left and then Maxim scored in OT. I can't wait to see a Sabres playoff game again! Man, Anaheim has had some wonderful scoring chances this period but they aren't going in.

He had that psycho look in his eye after the goal. The guy is a real competitor. I love him.
