It is a combination of poor goaltending, poor PK, and injuries. Myers has played 11 games this year and enstrom has been out twice and Trouba held out and Little was out for a fair stretch. Also, we started off the year setting a record of 32 games in 60 days. If I had to say one thing, we don't have a goalie that is playing like a starter. Chevy needs to pick up a LHD and a vet goalie this summer. Actually, Scheif's stats are considerably worse when not playing with Laine and while Laine's are worse without Scheifele, they are not that much worse. He is 6' 5" or something so I expect he will put on another 12-15 pounds in the next 3-4 years. He will start winning the battles against the wall that he is losing pretty easily.

Laine now has 56 points in 56 games. Schief has 26g and 39a for 65 points in 61 games and we still aren't going to make the playoffs.

Both AM and Laine will have a hard time hitting 40 this year...Crosby might be the only player to hit 40 goals this year. Crosby and Laine are the only ones in contention that are scoring at more than 1/2 goal per game. Carter from LA might hit 40... Chevy is supposed to be getting calls on Staf's status...makes one wonder why he hasn't been moved yet...I mean, it's only a year late. Price takes over Dryden for wins for 3rd place in Habs' history.....rather have Dryden. Nobody mentioning it took Price almost 100 more games and Dryden had 74 ties. Calgary on one of their worst road trips of the year and putting up points to stay in a wildcard spot.

Trouba suspended for two games...I don't have a problem with this and only getting two is probably because he has never been suspended before. No room for head shots period. The fact that Malkin doens't even get a call after his hit is a pathetic farce.

My two cents, he stole two points against us lsat night but I wouldn't take him especially at what he makes. Bishop in free agency for 3 or 4 years is a different queston. You guys should be happy to have Lehner as a goalie. He is young and has a great sv% and gives a shite...our young goalie with the pedigree likes to let in easy ones a minute or two into the game to make things interesting...not sold on Hellebuyck yet.

That POS Malkin comes off of his feet and hits Wheeler in the head doesn't get a phoe call? I have watched the replay of the hit at 1/15 time and Wheeler's head is this first thing that Malkin makes contact with...he launches himself into the hit. Did he hit Wheeler's shoulder? Yes...was there head contact? Yes, lots. To make matters worse, that poor excuse for a poor excuse assists on Crosby's GWG. I'd like to see someone Bobbly Clarke him on the 8th when they are in town. One was an empty net goal. He played well tonight but hasn't been playing well lately at all. His D game really, really needs work. He was demoted to the 4th line a few games ago for 2 periods and I thought most fans were going to have a fit. This is the first game in the last 16 that we let in fewer than 3 goals.

Don't feel bad...we have won 3 games in a row once last year at the very end of the season when we were out of the playoffs for weeks and once this year.....think about that for a second....one 3 game winning "streak" last year and one this year. I didn't expect to make the post season this year but I expected a bit more consistency.....the only thing consistent about the Jets is their inconsistency. The easiest year to make the playoffs in this division since we got back in it and still can't make it. It sure would be nice to win the lottery again this year and get home boy Nolan Patrick!!! 12 games minimum if I had a say. Inch and a half higher and he takes the stick right in the eyeball. No room whatsoever for that in the game. 12 games and a good beating thenext time those two play. What about your goalie though??? HOOWAH!!!!! Gotta love a goalie that gets into the game! Don't know who came flying in there but if I own that team, he gets a LOT of points in my books. I think of Petry watching Price have to defend himself and thought, Petry needs to go. Good on Lehner and good on the guy that came flying in to stick up for his goalie.

Kaner is driving up his value.....trade him now while the price is high. Not as a rental but an honest hockey trade...I am sure the Ducks would give up a young expansion draft exempt LHD and maybe more for Kaner if they could find a way to afford him.

No way is Kaner worth close to 6m x5. Who would sign him to that? He's be lucky to get 4.5m x 5. He has scored over 50 points once in his career and that was 5 years ago on a team that didn't preach D. His highest total since is 41 points. JVR has 40 points already this season and makes 4.25m per year. Kreider makes 4.625m. No way Kaner gets anywhere near 6m x 5.
