Penguins stumble continues, coughing up a point in OTT. Things are tight enough in the playoff picture, that it looks like we'll get a full-go Penguins squad on a back-to-back. Hope it's sewn up Friday of course, but if not, there's still a bit of comfort in the dreaded final game scenario.

If you're not ecstatic about Eichel, you don't watch minor hockey or you can't evaluate talent or you can't read the pages and pages of scouting reports. So which is it Andrew Amerk. Can't watch, read or analyze (hope you're not blind)? Like many have said, the whole goal of the tank was to ensure Eichel. I've trained myself to like his franchise story even more. A boon for USA hockey after what has been a decade of strong national momentum, right here on display in Buffalo. Match this with all the work that Terry has done with the Harbor Center and the organization has done in attracting U-18 events here and this fantasy tale could very well end with a new Hockeytown USA. -

Take care of business tonight and Monday becomes the all-important game. Fairly confident about CBJ on road (they are playing well) followed by PIT at home to end this awful season on a back to back. But Carolina. At home. Please, to the city that shouldn't even have an NHL franchise, let alone a Stanley Cup winning franchise: you owe us for 2006. We gave you a Cup. All we ask is for you to win (real terms).

My God, huge W tonight. Like how this SJ/ARI game is a home and home. There's been a little testiness tonight, and that should carry over into tomorrow. And any emotion we can get out of this lifeless Coyote team is alright in my book.

Bernier seems to be tracking the puck well. That's good. Weber just had a good look that he obviously didn't do much with. Do you think he would celebrate in an over the top manner as an additional FU to fans?

Here's something to take away the sting a bit: Kris Baker @SabresProspects 53m53 minutes ago Old friend Joel Armia has zero goals in 14 games with St. John's since being dealt. He was blanked in his last seven as an Amerk. Still a looong time until we can evaluate the trade, obviously. But after a month, it's fair to say that Jets fans have to be pretty happy. Myers has looked near elite at times. I've watched a bunch of their games and he is already a fan favorite (and their crowd is incredible, they would be great to see in the playoffs). He was having a very good year for us: 28-30 min a game, cut down on mental errors (although still there), and really built on a strong finish to the 13-14 season when Nolan came in. And now he is starring on one of the NHL's hottest teams. I'm happy for him and cheering him on. I'm just hoping Vandy pulls his weight in the trade. 8 games!!

I don't think a collection of players will ever tank. The furthest down the tank would go is coaching, which is the advantage the Coyotes have over us on the home stretch. After watching the last handful of Yotes games, it's clear the strategy is not to grind out a 0-0 tie. Between forechecking heavily on the PK or attempting unorthodox and complex PP set plays, this awfully bad team is taking chances not even a highly skilled team would be successful with. I'm thinking they got the marching orders to try new things. I'm sure Tippett has envisioned some wild plays over the years and now is his time to try them. Especially if that means failing horribly.

Wish I could see my market boom/crash cardiac monitor readout for this game. Zona announcers are awful. Been watching them the last handful of games and they are so obviously trying to put a bowtie on a pile of $#!t. I know its your job but come on. Analyze the play a bit.

This is really the worst. As if the worst record in the league isn't enough, I'm on the edge of my seat for one of the more pitiful looking teams I've seen in a while. Torture.

Anybody with a full report on Grigs play? Saw he got over 16 TOI. What was he doing well in the first 2?? 9 games!
