  1. Trump wins big in South Carolina. Jeb! suspending his campaign. Hillary wins by more than expected in Nevada. The general election is starting to crystallize. I can't see Cruz getting more support than Trump, and how can they choose Rubio when he lacks the experience that they've criticized Obama about.
  2. The fact that you're criticizing his decision is itself a partisan move. He's paying his respects before the funeral. Leave the funeral for the family.
  3. I'm not defending the decision. I'm saying he will be criticized no matter what he decides. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't paying attention to the political discourse among Republicans.
  4. And if he went to the funeral, the haters would claim he's politicizing it. So either way, they''ll complain for political points.
  5. Just pointing out that some of them do well. Clarke MacArthur is another who did better.
  6. I got home from work yesterday and found multiple spots on the kitchen ceiling where the roof leaked.
  7. So what is the statute of limitations on how long a person is defined by what they said or did in the past? Every day in the campaign we hear that some one said this in 1998 or voted for that in 2003. Are people no longer allowed to change their views based on new information or experiences? I'm not talking about switching during the campaign to pander, but pre-election. I think every candidate is hit with this charge.
  8. How about: Cody Hodgson Christian Erhoff Steve Ott Nathan Gerbe Chris Stewart Danny Paille
  9. Scott scored a power play goal and was 3rd star in win over Syracuse.
  10. Interesting move by Obama to say Trump won't be president. Could he be trying to rile up Repubs to further support Trump and throw another wrench in the Repub primary?
  11. I worry about how he got in such a predickament, and why he isn't seeking immediate medical attention.
  12. The Repubs said they won't let it get to a vote, so after Obama nominates a moderate and they're not given a fair hearing, Clinton will nominate a more liberal judge, and the Repubs will wish they accepted the first choice, if they even control the Senate next year.
  13. The longest a person went from nomination to confirmation was about 3 months. Obama has 11 months left. The Repubs say let the voters decide. They did when they elected Obama for 4 years, not 3. The Repubs are big on following the Constitution. They can vote down the nomination if they want, but to not even have hearings and a vote would be abrogating their Constitutional duty.
  14. You have to consider that Risto and Gorges are probably getting the most ice time vs other team's best players, along with more TOI.
  15. Some of the debates have had audiences made up of party doners. Since Trump doesn't take doner money, he's at a disadvantage with the audiences who financially support the other candidates.
  16. White House has indicated that they will be nominating a replacement, while Repubs want to wait until next president, of course. But the longest Supreme Court confirmation process from nomination to resolution was Judge Brandeis, at 125 days. Obama has 342 days left in office.
  17. The one possible name I heard is Sri Srinivasan. He was an Obama appointment to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and got 100% approval by the Senate. It would be tough for Repubs to claim he's not qualified after they all approved him.
  18. The Republicans will probably block any nominee Obama selects. Another reason why it's imperative that Clinton get elected. We can't have another conservative on the bench for decades.
  19. Maybe the Stamkos camp is pushing the possibility of going to other teams to drive up his price.
  20. But he's starting to get Robio syndrome; a one-note candidate. "Bernie, how will you improve race relations?". "Wall Street bankers!".
  21. Paid for by the Oregon occupiers. "Hey, we need a new hobby, and now we have Internet access".
  22. Buffalo is one of the teams that has the most cap room next year. I would love them to sign Stamkos just to see the Toronto fans go crazy.
  23. I'll have to disagree, as do most of the pundits. Sanders was off balance in the end when Clinton pointed out his criticisms of Obama. You could see he was rattled and getting mad. And of course Clinton ran against Senator Obama, not President Obama. Whereas Sanders called for a primary opponent to run against President Obama in 2012. It's all about showing who has had Obama's back, given that he still has high ratings among black voters. And in that respect Clinton scored a TKO. .
