Don’t worry, when we trade Reinhart we can get through it together.
-
Definitely on the first bold. 95% on the second bold. Completely unwilling to speculate of the last. I wasnt thinking of my future quality of life when I was injuring myself at his age. I was, however, doing the first two bolds.

And Dahlin is better than Potvin and going to be the next Bobby Orr.
-
Is there a team Jack or are their just people who want him on the team? I’ve met very few Sabres fans who name Jack Eichel as their favorite player.
-
Carter--Vorachek, 1st (Sean Couturier) and a 3rd Richards--Schenn, Simmonds, 2nd (traded) We should get more than that.
-
I would advocate for a whole thread of plus sides, but I am having trouble finding more. On the plus side, we won't need to look at Eichel's hair? On the plus side, we can at least build our team from the net out this time?

"...you get Reinhart and Eichel then..."

Reinhart Non Committal To His Future in Buffalo
#freejame replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Tkachuk has a poison pill contract expiring soon and his relationship in Calgary isn’t the best. Make it happen. -
If anything this pushes me towards Granato. If he resonates with the young players and can continue to get improvements from him just keep him around. The turn-around coach is seldom the winning coach anyway.
-
If you think today is bad, just wait until we miss out on Wright and Bedard while maintaining the best odds of winning.

A sign and trade is much more likely IMO. -

Josh Allen has gotten everyone who has ever heard of the Bills on the wagon. Doesn't surprise me. -
I’d quit the Sabres.

Give Ryan Miller his respect (poll question added)
#freejame replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
No it isn’t. He was incredibly intoxicated and crashed his sports car after only playing for the team for two seasons at the end of his career. None of that screams “retire my number.” Exactly this. Take it down when we move arenas and just don’t put it back up. -

My hope is they quietly take down the Horton banner when they switch buildings. The rest minus Hasek and Gil are lame but whatever. -

I’d take numbers down before I added another number up. -

Three of Byfield and Turcotte/Bjornfot/Kaliyev and a first.

Imagine such an invaluable member of the Sabres organization taking such a drastic pay-cut because s/he wanted to be here. Wouldn’t that be the day?
-
I have nothing to add or say other than I agree with all of this.

He’s the only “experienced” coach the Sabres have hired during the drought and the only one to get us to 80 points. Everyone here thought he was incredibly flawed, and everyone here will tell you the roster was incredibly flawed. But maybe that tells you something that an experienced coach can get you more points than some who relatively lacks experience. If there is a decision to hire say Gallant or Granato, hiring Granato is likely going to be the wrong choice.

Beyond anything else I appreciate the way you carry yourself and willingness to acknowledge when you’ve been wrong. I don’t always agree with you, but I find it very easy to have a discussion about those things with you which isn’t always the case. There would be far more vitriol without you here. You also take stands for posters against the mods when you thinks it’s necessary and I appreciate that.

@WildCard and @Eleven are my favorite posters from a “the board resonates with me in a weird way that will make me never not care about the Sabres” kind of way. @Brawndo is, in my opinion, our most valuable poster and I still have no idea how he does the things he does. I appreciate the work and effort that @LGR4GM does probably more than any other poster, but I also find myself butting heads with him more than any other poster. Part of me believes this is by design. Historically speaking, if @Wyldnwoody44 were still active, he would likely take my vote. Anyway, thank you to all of the minority (even @MODO Hockey) who make this an enjoyable place to be apart of 365 days of the year. Without this board I honestly don’t know if I would still be a Sabres fan. I genuinely hope that at some point I can have the influence on someone’s Sabres fanhood that those who carry this board have had on mine. It took me almost 8 years to join, but I remember the good old days and this place is going to be unrecognizable to most posters once things inevitably take off and I can’t wait to actually participate this go-around. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, #FREE @jame, my Spacey poster of the year nominee.

Our captain having a presser on locker clean-out day should be a surprise to nobody. It is one of the few captainly ways Eichel has acted.

Aka the only coach to get us to 80+ points in ten years
