  1. What you ascribe to Regier as a tank I can agree with. I think he didn't have a satisfactory plan as to how to go forward. TM is managing a rebuild and the final stages of the purge But the argument I advocate is that it isn't about one player. McJesus is just graduating magna laudae from the process.
  2. that is not a logical assumption. Regier could have been tossed and Rolston kept while the gm search was on. If I'm TM and truly wanted to assure the best odds of landing McJesus, Rolston and not TN would be at the helm.
  3. And if McJesus was the goal Rolston would still be coaching the Sabres.
  4. OEL 》 Risto for now.
  5. I do. They had no choice but to gut. The return was always speculative at best.
  6. This is where I think you are wrong. The return for the players you mention, was always prospects and picks. They simply weren't valuable enough to return difference makers. We traded Myers + to get a difference maker, in theory, and the assets needed to sweeten the deal were not available on the farm when we needed to move Vanek, Miller et al. They were not resigning here. This was not and has never been about one player. You like to repeat that mantra because it fits your narrative. The suffering is about clearing out the old, ineffective core and replacing it with a new effective one. Girgs, Reinhart, Kane, Risto, Zadorov, Bogosian plus the promise of Fasching, Baptiste, Grigo is the current fruit of it. One or two pieces will come this summer be it McJesus and a vet or more young assets that can be used to obtain more. So if you continue to look at the current state as a a focused effort to get one player, feel free, that is your choice. But the reality is we are at the end of the tear down and the rebuild is under way. The most expeditious path to respectability will be a top 2 pick to ADD TO the the new young core. I cheer for the laundry, and for too long the talent wearing it was not sufficient to win championships. Proof? We have none. I am glad they took a longer view and made a,clean sweep. No matter who we draft in June.

He could have been paired with Mess for 15 min a game and it wouldn't tell us much about his value as an offensive center. The argument isn't use, it's proper use with the ability to make a mistake, get coached and learn from it. The to against caps where TN didn't even gather the unit together told me all I need to know. He doesn't adjust to changing situations but rather points the boat and goes.
  8. Wow, looked over saw it was Weber and thought "I got this"
  9. thus the new high watermark
  10. Your passion is duly noted, that is a new high watermark in taking one for the team :)
  11. And they ate Sir Robin's minstrels....
  12. Isn't it spelled Bode?
  13. Shambling or rambling? Because i think he will still be talking after he is planted. Hullow
  14. Agreed. I didnt read anything after the first sentence ;) aren't we all :) How about McJesus and Marner? Huh,uwitme.
  15. Fwiw the serviceman they honored during the Anthem is my cousin Jack. 33 years in uniform. Thanks cuz.
  16. Respect or consume? Like the last moldy loaf left on the shelf the day they announce the new five year plan?
  17. You Vixen. Remember he is a youngster, be gentle
  18. You are going to be disappointed I feel. You don't trade a 3rd overall pick for a quick fix unless you package roster talent to land a difference maker. You may add one piece and create another hole or more in the process. That is the allure of the generational talent. It is an nhl ready, though inexperienced addition, that doesn't need baking and doesn't require you to trade anything. How much ya got? Cash only or bitcoins.
  19. I would plant 4 kilos of Mexican black tar on the charter and have the dea waiting at the Phoenix airport. Az doesn't like anything Mexican.

I don't understand the adulation for ror, he has 12 freekin goals this year! We have a latvian ror with better upside on the roster already. But everyone wants to overpay for him and move Gus to the wing? Puzzling.
  21. Maybe not so much with who we choose, but that we need to ship Zemgus, Zadorov and Fasching out to replace the talent we did not get with McEichel. That will be an epic day for divisiveness on SS when that trade is announced. The under discussed aspect of the current situation is the assumption that we will simply add to the pool and development cycle. If we miss out on the opportunity to grab that high end offensive talent, we will have to get it from somewhere. Currently, injuries notwithstanding we are outgunned. So fan favorites who are valuable to us on the current roster, and those we are hopeful of in the pipeline will be moved. With McEichel, it is more of addition versus, transition without them. JMHO.
  22. They can guarantee two wins for us. We can't do the same for them
  23. This is where I am. " Skate harder boys", is the extent of his coaching input. Irbe needs a sudden visa issue.
  24. Then you missed the source of my ire
  25. You didn't watch NBCSN? They were effusive in their praise. hackett hasn't seen a shot fired in anger in over a week. Nolan said he was playing the hot hand. Why? Play em all. And if you don't think Tippett isn't following orders your dreaming.
