One thing that I will be following is the "young man's" game rhetoric. Other than USA and Canada, the young guns can play for their national team or team Europe. The Canadians are stacked but without McDavid and MacKinnon and Ekblad. Risto gets to play with the Finns and perhaps the Nylandersnfor Sweden. We should be able to glean a lot from the sauces or lack thereof of the younger teams.

I don't think we see Bailey back this year. I think they will give him some points to work on and a ton of minutes to do so in Rochester. We might see Fasching just as a tease and a bargaining chip for him to jump this year.

They did in Anaheim and LA where he was invisible. The context here may be the competition. It was a pretty play getting in position to shoot, but the shot was nothing out of the ordinary.

Not to jump on PA's bandwagon, but I wonder if Tpegs had more of a say than we think. He likes the big names even if they are all hat no cattle.

He did try to put it on net. He missed. McDavid didn't.

So have I. Put Lehner, Johnson or Ulmark in goal and they would be light years better. Their defense is not as much of a hindrance as our lack of scoring.

I just hope we put the Oilers suck meme to rest. Absent injury to McDavid, they would be in the playoff hunt. They are as good as Colorado and close to Nashville absent goaltending. That's what high end high picks get you. Dlo can't play with Yak. Girgs is no Hall. Draisatl, Nurse, is a wash with Samson Risto. And obviously McDavid is at a different level than Jack. ROR would have helped but too many Catnastys Gionta's moulsons etc. Our future is brighter but is not near. I hope Jake is ok he played well tonight. We have a lot of work ahead.

This idea that career ahlers are the answer is beyond stupid. We need wheels. Think Baptiste or Carrier would have at least given us some speed. COR and Cat nasty arent cutting it.
