I realize it's a bloody fantastic move on Foligno. But... doesn't Foligno have to just ignore the puck there and watch McDavid's hips/torso and just go through him? Take the man?
-
huh. good start.

I was thinking Schneider since I saw some chatter that he could get a look right away but it would be nice to see Carrier get a few games too. I probably wouldn't go the Leafs "call up everybody" route but now would probably be a good time to see what a few of the prospects might bring at the NHL level instead of Ryan O'Reilly's mediocre career minor league brother.
See... I don't know enough about Schneider to say one way or the other. From what I hear, Carrier is McGinn-like in net-front presence and being in the right place and board work offensively.
Nothing appears related to someone getting back through waivers. So, I guess they figured they would be more competitive with more experienced call-ups and Reinhart on the wing?

Oh no, don't say that.....................
It's on NHLtv/gamecenter. Which is nice, because this hotel lacks NHL Network

No, no, and...no
Catanacci and O'Reilly called up
My bad. I meant to quote wandering eye and ask whom the eye would rather see. My mistake with the shorthand and the cell phone.

Keep Bailey up? See what the new Schneider can do? Carrier?

Fun game and atmosphere in the Tank last night. Lots of us Sabres folk representing. The Larsson line was strong again. McCabe played well and had one really slick, calm, stickhandles out of harm's way. Whenever a carom or rebound was left in the slot we were the first ones there.
And Kane had one fantastic effort where he forced a turnover, corralled the puck at the line and continued to battle -- but I don't remember if he ever got a shot away on that sequence
Really solid road game.

IIRC we won that game too
Yup. Thornton assisted on a goal shortly after the 'pede appeared. But we stuck with our unconventional defenses and got the win.

I'm now curious if Larsson gets 2014 repeat with increased playing time (as he did after the Zemgus foot). That could really drive up his trade value and tell us what Murray really thinks of his future as on of the inherited guys and not one of his own acquisitions. I personally like Larsson as a 3/4 center. But maybe giving him top minutes including PK and PP time gets Murray another high pick or someone he covets.

What will be nice to see is a fully healthy (not 25 min/night) O'Reilly with the rest of the young guys next year. The rest of the team is starting to catch up to where he was early on. Slowly... slowly. 5-3-2 in our last 10? I've wanted to post this for awhile.
It's starting to come together, Pepper!

No, but two assists.
-
I want O'Reilly and Eichel to re-tie the scoring lead on this PP.

Columbus has changed their goalie from the rookie to the bigger McElhinney -- their announcers are talking about avoiding the goalie fight. But they'd rather have McElhinney in than their kid Korpisalo. Because Lehner might eat him.
-
So. Note to refs. That's what a major boarding penalty looks like. Right? (I'm still on internet delay.)
-
ouch. hope Bogo is OK after that one.
-
They're calling him Sam Bennett (twice) on the CBJ broadcast.
-
Nifty little Zemgus tap to McGinn. McCabe and Reinhart have been solid tonight. I like our speed against a CBJ team that is trying too hard to take Lehner off his game. It 'minds me of our speed days against big teams like the Flyers and their vaunted legion that never did squat.

And a great major kill by.... Risto, Foligno, and Kane.
-
I sense something, a presence I've not felt since... Buffaslug. They're living in the past. We will destroy them ship to ship.
-
Decent pass by Eichel...
-
It was probably only a game or two ago and I missed it... but I cannot remember the last time our 2nd PP unit scored a goal.
-
Normally on the west coast but working back east this week.... This 9 o'clock start time is intolerable. The game should be over right about now.

Saw it last night. It's a good, fun, Star Wars flick. Upbeat and decent dialogue (barring a few "earth-slang" misses that could have been replaced with Star Wars nerf-like slang). The characters have motivations and conflicts. The prequel demons have been exorcised. That's the important thing.
Sure, I've got a bunch of things I'm a disappointed in, but most of them are ancillary to the plot and end product, which was solid. I'm itching to do a spoiler-tagged list, but nope. It's in the spirit of the force and the Holiday Special to let go.

So you mean "ull" in surprise and alarm. Like "uuuulll". ;-]I think you've got it! Make sure it's in the back of the throat though.
Actually, I'd have to dust off my English phonetic symbols guide to accurately write the sound, I think.

It is disappointing. But I rarely see us cycle. Kane likes to shoot immediately. Eichel likes to roam around the back of the net once and throw it in front. ... We will learn patience.
