Home. Gamecenter on. and.... Unsure of the hard root beer, but the Deschutes Jubleale is good this year.
and Kane you need to get that on net. Or bury it.

And I mean Regehr. I mean Regehr!

Can't tune in yet. But from the rosters I have to ask... Is Regier hurt? (Or did he retire?)
And the Kings lost Sekera in free agency, but they have Enroth, and McNabb, Ehrhoff..... And McBain????
-
bloody hell.
But there's time yet, and wide-open play of late.

We're finally outworking them (or at least working as hard as the opposition) and look at that... tie game.
I was disappointed in the team effort (probably for the first time all year) in the EDM and VAN games. And the first two periods tonight continued that trend. But I like what happens when this backchecks and forces the play. Do you see what happens Warriors? See what happens when you mess with the Orphans?

Always a fun time in Vancouver -- although we only win 1 of every 5.
We looked like a really young team on the second night of a back-to-back in the middle of the west coast swing. Sluggish, a few good spurts here and there, and too many penalties. And when we did force turnovers, Miller was in perfect position. Really wish Moulson could've buried his breakaway.
Eichel was mostly invisible, but I think Vancouver did a great job of taking away space whenever he touched the puck. It'll be a bit before he forces people to give him space. All in due time.
Lackluster so far this year, Larsson surprised me last night. Looked feisty again. At some point he'll start scoring... I hope.

Heading up for the game tonight (and expect they'll play better than last night).
I know it'll be better than last year's Vancouver visit. Why?
Last year's fourth line vs. the Canucks: Benoit - Ellis - Kaleta
You'd forgotten that Hodgson got scratched for last season's return to Vancouver, didn't you? So did I. I think I blacked it out.

I have no trouble admitting when I'm wrong. When I first saw the official roster I saw Dupuy and not being familiar I googled the kid. Grinder? Skeptical! He's not only been solid but is humble with the media and seems to have fired up this group. Tomorrow night vs the Marlies is Star Wars night. My wife is driving so I'm going as Darth Inebriated. Look for me. I'll be the one that's strong with the drunk side.
It's a good costume to wear.

Cancersharks do not concern me, Admiral. I want that goal scored.

This is pretty good: http://www.wsj.com/articles/fans-love-hate-relationship-with-the-star-wars-franchise-1446662135
Especially this part:
Holy mackerel.
So, The Phantom Menace swept Mr. Guinta in a seven-game series?
I hope they're still married -- that's a pretty inauspicious start to the engagement.

The script was definitely bad. And they would have figured that out if they hadn't spent so much time worrying about how the movie was going to look. They must have taken every shot and then been like "man, this is gonna look great!" without giving any thought to whether it would be great.
For the prequels, Lucas heard that a golden rule of storytelling is, "show, don't tell." But he and his staff misinterpreted that to be, "Use CGI, don't use words."
The originals had some exposition-heavy moments (mostly from Ben or ghost-Ben), but the only other telling was the opening crawl. From the time the words faded until the credits, all three films were pretty solid in showing us the story.

Ullmark, may you have a better Sabres career than Mika Noronen!
Nice game, all.

Ach. Wie schade fur dem... rookie...
I was hoping to laud a shutout over Philly.
-
Mistake: captialized. What a nifty pass by O'Reilly.

Risto is still getting his game together this season, but it looks like the Locomotive is back on the rails. And I continually impressed by how effortless Pysyk looks -- just a poke here and a quick pass there, and we're back in control.
I'd like the score to be 4-0 already... but then, maybe this is the period they press, make mistakes, and we begin to capitalize.

That is what tripping looks like.

Tonight, they will pay the price for their lack of vision! (and Hedman)
-
Impressive.
-
oh -- Eichel a foot too far for Reinhart. That was a vision of the future.
-
Tiny sample size -- but we're faster; we aren't getting trapped in our zone; we have patience, not panic.
Can't wait until our D pairings and line combinations get chemistry to know a bit more what everyone else is going to do.
-
Sweet. Looks like there's a game tonight.
Senators, eh? The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us.

I seem to remember hearing that Legwand is the career points leader on the roster (over Gionta and Moulson -- although Moulson was a late bloomer). So, not a bust. 600 points is a solild career. I'm good with a vet as the 13th forward -- that allows the possible youthful call-ups to get meaningful minutes in Rochester.

It should be SabreS'pace I think
S'bres'Space?
I hear tic-tac-toe? Nice!

Am I wrong, or does one of our four guys deep need to put Carter on his back there?
Nice shot by Kane there.
