  1. Paste unformatted or Paste text only should work. Or paste into a .txt Text file first, then bring it into where you want to strip out the formatting.
  2. Don't worry, we're still flying half the ship the roster.
  3. I'm standing here in pieces and you're Our goaltending still consists of a 40 year-old with an undisclosed UBI that sounds like a concussion who was going to retire before the season and hasn't played in almost 2 months, an AHL starter-caliber guy who has made an amazing save, a lifelong AHLer who has been steady in limited appearances and has been out with COVID for a month, a rookie who has had one good week of NHL hockey, and an AHL-level guy who was on the decline the past few seasons as an NHL backup and was worse this year... and we're having delusions of grandeur. I love 'Space.
  4. Given the Canada and Russia all LHD discussion, the adding Chychrun as a lefty ideas... So where does the righty come from? The team has pipeline of defense and that's good. Finally it's happening. I want a playoff-grizzled, checker/shotblocker Warrener type to be a guide for one the kids as a UFA/trade-for-a-2nd type guy. But also -- let's look inside: From a talent side, Dahlin has the hands and skill to play on the right boards. We see him do it on the PP -- corral the clearing attempt or pass, step back to the center of the ice on his forehand and shoot. And he did it as a kid in the SHL. He can move to the right. That's probably the easiest move. Now, if Dahlin is going to stay on the lef -- If I'm Matty the Muel Samuelsson, I'm clamoring to try my hand on the right side. Before I get to UFA I get 3-5 seasons of playing with Dahlin or Power as their steady rough-and-tumble rock, get plenty of ice time and secondary assists, open shooting lanes because the defense respects them more than me... and 20+ minutes a night. If I'm stuck behind both of them I get maybe 16 minutes of ice per night and most of that on the PK. My ticket to big money is having the "LD/RD" listed next to my name on the roster and skating with one of the franchise guys.
  5. Until I rewatch them in preparation to see the new one, this is my recollection as well. The one redeeming thing about Revolutions (see what I did there?) that I can remember was that it had the swirling school-of-fish robot attacks. I thought that that was an inspired choice for robot intelligence to make... if completely illogical in that it allows the enemy to concentrate their fire on focused area. Rather than just swarming from all sides at once when you have overwhelmingly significant numbers and are operating in a three-dimensional battlefield where your squidbots can fly. So --- it looked cool, but it was really foolish choice for a superior intellect. Also just watched the finale of Wheel of Time season 1. And it was... fine? It was fine. I think the remainder of however many seasons they do with it will also be fine. Maybe not as fine as Samson Reinhart's career will be fine.
  6. The odds of Team China medaling are still 3720:1. Until! the entirety of Teams Kazakhstan and Poland find themselves in quarantine right before the medal round.
  7. GM Sheevyn cackles: "RHD problem... solved. Effective, Efficient. Economical." Also, Fitz was super solid last night.
  8. That save needs its own thread.
  9. Oh Eakin... trying to pull an Eichel on the OT faceoff. Immediate 2-on-1 break. Game over.
  10. Now... win the draw. Shoot and score. And finish these punks in regulation
  11. Nice pinch and steal by Dahlin there. A little more patience and we might have had someone get to the net. One good shift and we can steal this game outright. Death Star mode. Never forget!
  12. Woooohooo! Rasmus the Younger! We lured them to sleep in the third.
  13. Ooof. Miller leading the 3 on 2... and we don't even possess the puck past the blue line.
  14. Skinner... too slow. Why fake it? No Olofsson on the Tage line? Is Victor OK?
  15. Fitz just replaced Butcher and Miller. Miller with a clothesline and interference.... bah. What are you doing?
  16. Pitt broadcast called it as "off the post". Even live it was nearly impossible to see it.
  17. It's true --- it's hard to fault any announcer who is calling the game remotely these last couple seasons. I should go check the Pitt broadcast to see how they called it.
  18. The Sabres have woken up since the Tage fight. Pitt is still way too disciplined defensively... Sabres can't get a second chance on anything. But at least they're awake. I wonder if prime-RJ would have seen that as a save in live action and turned it into an amazing call. With Dan it was... unnoticed. And I didn't notice it, either. But even during the extended replay, Dunleavy was so low key.
  19. The Sabres aren't skating and the Penguins are on full attack. It's not been pretty. But... Subban has made the save of the year. It was so fantastic it wasn't even noticed in realtime.
