Ullmark was injured last season, Hutton was injured (eye) last season, and we saw JJ wasn't ready. And we spent the offseason bolstering our offense in Staal and Hall. That's good. But you can't ignore the single most important player on the ice game in/game out.

We did this to him. He should be splitting time with UPL this year and building on his AHL All-Star season. We saw last year he wasn't ready and likely won't be for another 2 years to get an NHL backup look. But now... he's UFA. Ullmark's UFA.

Hugging the post is good. But collapsing into it and not covering the angle from a shooter that close to the goal line... meh. Great shot, of course. Guentzal's got a Victor-like rifle.

I like that Johansson is now our #1 goalie. Note that I don't believe he should be a #1 in the NHL yet, he should be getting seasoning in the AHL... but at least Hutton isn't getting the bulk of the starts since Ullmark went down.
