I'm probably looking to sell a pair of tickets I got to the Lumineers on July 30th. Location: Ommegang Brewery near cooperstown. Yeah, its 4 hours away for most of you, but factor in Cooperstown and Ommegang and I thought I'd mention it in case someone wants to plan a roadtrip

?? Shocked. I thought he was the steal of the century last year and that Calgary would be home for a long time. Has his value dropped to match near what they paid for him or are they seeking to get a return on their minimal investment?

Resurrecting this thread just to say how much I appreciated it. I was largely still "lurking" on the forum during the thread, but I found the analysis, insight and discussion in here to be great, it really gave me the hope that there are still intelligent and thoughtful internet posters out there. add on top of it that they are Sabre fans and its a win-win!

The reason I switched here from HFboards was because how much more lax the new thread setup is versus HFB. their megathreads redefine megathreads, well that and the people here are quite a bit more polite/kind. What is the TBD being mentioned?

WGR or TSN? I'd love a professional and intelligent sabres focused resource, but I guess we can't have it all.

I think this is where I am. I'm hedging my bets that someone will offer up a late 2nd and a middling reclamation project of their own so that EDM can explain it off as a "best for both worlds to change the scenery" and "he has the same possible upside" Though its likely to be Hodgson/Kassian 2.0

I like it. Seems a bit heavy on skill though, maybe could use a 3rd pair thats a bit nastier.

True, because obviously depending on players available, perception of buffalo's scouting department etc it could get dicey even on draft value, but being able to see his value converted into a straightforward numerical opinion from each member will show me how many are around my opinion, or if my opinion is way off base and may need to be re-evaluated.

Understood, but player value is subjective and changes on opinion and percieved need. my goal was to convert the value to a more defined currency.

Anyone familiar with slickdeals.net? the way they do it is a mod inserts a post at the very top of the thread that is treated like a wiki of sorts, has all the serious notes about the topic so that way the narrative is always available at a quick at a glance. I would love that kind of setup.

If you had to trade Ennis for a draft pick straight up, where is it going to be? Do not take into account who the trade partner would be, whether they have cap space/need etc. I thought he'd be a regular 30 goal scorer by now, I suppose I still hold out hope that he will be.

Between Cagguila, Vesey, Stamkos and the rest of Free Agency will Murray possibly balk at making a major move simply because of the perceived possibility of talent coming at no other cost than greenbacks? Am I channeling too much Darcy Reiger here? On the exact flip side... How much of his motivation could be caused by Tim simply wanting to give the fans some excitement at a home draft? My vote is to stand pat at #8, there is plenty out there after the 1st plateau this year, which is why so many teams are debating moving back. combine as many of our 2nd, 3rd's etc as necessary and see how many quarters it will take to make a dollar and get back in to top 15 with another pick. Farming picks has been fun but we are looking at a mess in 3-4 years re: 50 contract cap if we do another round of the "grab college kids because it postpones any decisions we need to make for longer" type of draft.

Curious to watch how these statements and situations are resolved. Very insightful post, a nice clean way to catch up on where the other teams are at regarding the cap in one line, handy information for draft speculation.
