I agree. And I’d love to find a way to add him. I think they’d prefer to dump almost his entire cap but maybe we can give them a better return if they take a contract off our hands. Okposo would be the dream but if you do that you’re then forced to pay the real price it’d take for a guy like Subban. All evidence points to this being inaccurate. He does not appear to be an upgrade (certainly not to a second line and debatable for the third).

Without adding something of good value to that trade we’re not close.

We’d probably have to add at least 31 to that deal because we’re getting the two best players (by far) in the deal. I don’t think those two get Zucker or Spurgeon by themselves.

And while I respect Chad as a writer I don’t believe he’s well connected enough to know trade details like that anyways.

I would love to add Cirelli. But I’m not just going to throw every asset we have for him when it’s either not necessary or he’s untouchable. If Cirelli is truly attainable it won’t take all the assets I mentioned to get him.

That’s fair. Also, of note and because dreams are weird, we actually traded the 11th overall pick in the trade but I don’t remember ever seeing that we traded down.
