  1. We're all bored with no hockey, so I thought I'd start this now.  From what I've read, there are many pedants on this board (including me).  I'll start:

Also, I just saw a commercial for an Eczema cure where they said you can expect your skin to be 100% clear in 4 months.  Who wants clear skin???  It would be unnerving to see all my veins, tendons and muscles.  I prefer translucent at best!

    I miss WNY bread.

The Italian bread in WNY is second to none. Even from, like, Wegman's or Tops.

    It's sooo good.

My wife is from CA.  The first time I took her to WNY, she said this was the best food she ever tasted.  She was so satisfied, and I mean that just how I stated it!  It made me insecure and jealous.  ?

  3. I'm gonna keep these oldies going.  Three Dog Night may have the best harmonies outside of Crosby, Stills and Nash.  And I think the lead singer is from the WNY area.  I was lucky to see them at Shea's.  No pitch correctors or safety nets in the 70's.  Great show.

Interesting that the latest scuttlebutt on the 24-team playoffs would see the Rangers shift over to the Atlantic to replace Buffalo as the 6th seed.

Wide Right, Forward Lateral, No Goal and now Atlantic Shift.  But hey, in time, we'll all have a good laugh about this.  NOT!

  5. Kansas always had an uplifting, spiritual nature to their songs.  This one was a favorite.  Means different things to different people.  Sorry I couldn't find a live video to do it justice.  Really like the ascending guitar/violin solo at the end.

JFC, what year was this from?  Cummings looks like he's rocking a grunge look.  I'd even go as far as to say he wouldn't look out of place today with that fashion.

    1973 my friend.

Who was the last opponent Shula faced? The Bills. He lost that game and called it a career.

Another coach that was out of a job after losing to a Buffalo team.  Usually, it's the Sabres.  We must hold the record of getting rid of coaches after losing to us.  I wonder if they keep that statistic?

    Bloody hell ...

Now that you got that out of your system, and made some kind of soapbox statement about the country… Are you having anything for Cinco de Mayo today?

Sorry @Zamboni, that I offended.  Enjoy your Cinco de Mayo!

I remembered it! I'm betting it was my sophomore year at UB. 2005.

I'm old @ubkev, when I was a sophomore a UB, most of my classes were in Diefendorf Hall.  Main Street Campus 1981.  However, the student union had a great pool room in the basement.   Played pool all day for free.  Spent a lot of time working on my bank shots there by day and "other" shots at PJ Bottoms at night.

    Dylan Larkin?

With Dylan Larkin, the Wings are last in the league.  Without Dylan Larkin, the  Wings would  still be last in the league.  With Jack, the Sabres MAY get to the playoffs with this wacky resumption plan.  Without Jack, the Sabres  would be fighting the Wings for last place.  Like I said, Jack won't get the Hart, but if the Sabres somehow make the playoffs, It's Jack that made it even possible.  That's Hart-worthy.

If those protestors were black, they'd be dead.

    freeman, don't you dare.

Sadly, in America, they don't even have to be protesters.

  12. Should Jack be in consideration according to the criteria, YES.  Will he be, NO.  If the Sabres did not have Jack, they would be in last place in the league.  Now, with some league resumption scenarios, the Sabres may be in the Playoffs.  Therefore, Jack is the sole reason for the team's success and should in consideration for the Hart.

  13. Got to post this one for the young guys who have never heard it and the old guys who haven't heard it in a while.  You have to feel good after hearing this song and it also has a Top 20 guitar solo of all time.  Enjoy.

It didn't hurt the Bills to have Frank Reich.  I kind of even  wonder sometimes if we'd have won a Super Bowl if Reich had played.  In fact the Allen/Fromm combo reminds me of the Kelly/Reich combo with the swashbuckling starter and the cerebral backup.

I saw Jake played  in the LL World Series.  He's giving me a Chris Drury vibe.  Smart, ultra competitive, strong work ethic, great leadership, not great at any one thing but very good at all things.  Not afraid to hold teammates accountable. Clutch under pressure.
