It ended at a gas station when the RCMP finally caught up with the jackass shooter. They shot him dead while he was getting ready to blow it up. That gas station is about 25 KM from our house ... the one on the ocean and not in the city ... it is only about 15KM from our house in the city ... if he had blown up that gas station who knows what kind of damage it would have done. It is on the main highway to and from Halifax and it's right beside the airport. It's the biggest gas station in Nova Scotia, maybe even in all of Atlantic Canada.
Really glad you're safe.

Simple, I did not submit for it.
I thought you get it regardless if you fit one of the criteria??? I will get it but I don't need it (and for other reasons, I frankly don't want it).. I would have liked the ability to decline it and put it back in the pool to increase the amount for those that really need it. Now I have to get it, cash it, donate it, and hope it gets to the people that need it most. Would have rather not have to be the middle man.

Not sure if they played on the same line but if they did, that line put up 277 points in 54 games in 68-69. Averaging a little over 5 points a game. Incredible.

Say what you will about RFK, his decisions on personnel and ice time, schemes, methods, but he never lost the team like the last 2 coaches. Now an influx of talent is needed JBot.

I'm going with James Dean on the left. Gil in the middle. And a young Ray Liotta on the right.

This could go in many threads, but I chose this one because it is Thursday. Those slimy Pats. Check out what they show on the video feed directly behind the goalposts when the opponent attempts a field goal (top pic), and what they show when they are attempting a field goal (bottom pic). Notice the skewed visual for the opponent. Illegal, no, slimy YES. The Pats culture of SLIME. It permeates everything they do.

Anyone try these off-ice skates? Maybe they've been around for a while, but I haven't seen the rocking feature on other "rollerblade" type skates. Looks like they've developed a real "on ice" motion. Check the "How it Works" tab.

He might be a good leader but whenever the Bills have the ball I cringe at the decision making for personnel use and game management.
I agree with that. He needs to get through to Daboll. Maybe the new "coach" for game management will help.

Possibly. Maybe all the firings will lead to bringing in people who don't screw up every single player/fan event that ever happens. I know one thing. I don't trust their ability to judge personnel, at all.
People please save me the "they got the Bills right" nonsense. They were fortunate and I'm nowhere near convinced that McDermott is anything more than a good defensive coordinator.
I agree with 90% of your post. But I think McDermott has changed the culture in 3 years and deserves credit. That's more leadership than just a good coordinator possesses. If you've ever tried to get 90+ guys to buy in to what you're preaching, there's more to it than just x's and o's on one side of the ball..

This tread is depressing me so much it makes me want to return to the religion thread.

Pay Larry 4Mx3, put him between Skinner and Okposo. Boom, 2C solved! Kahun-Asplund-MoJo 3rd. Thompson-Lazar-Cozens/Simmonds 4th. Then, for depth, let Vesey walk, but trade our 2022 3rd round pick to get him back again. It's the circle of life!
Hard to pay Larry $4 million. If Larry is worth $4 million, Sam's gonna want $8 million.

I thought the Sabres were Terry's passion??? He cried meeting Perreault. Now a "cash infusion" seems unlikely. WTF. As Jon Stewart said in front of Congress to get funding for the first responders still ill from the 9-11 attacks, "We've done our jobs, DO YOURS!"

So Terry's original notion that "there's no salary cap on scouting" etc. etc. has gone away?
It's interesting to see a billionaire panic. I guess they can bite off more than they can chew like the rest of us. Sound, sports experienced executives need to right this ship, and TPegs is not able to build the right team.

There is a world-wide oil glut. This only works in a functioning worldwide economy. (It does not even need to be robust.) Thus, his net worth has taken a big hit.
You are correct about the glut. But Peg sold mostly land (and it's corresponding gas rights) to make his fortune. I assume he diversified his investments so a tanking gas market would be mitigated. I'm throwing a little shade at Peg because of how smug he was when he made the "I'll just drill another well" comment. Sort of tone deaf for a Buffalo community.

Come and listen to my story about a man name Peg.
A poor engineer, barely kept his family fed.
And then one day he started to frack.
And he really got lucky now he's got a big ol' stack.Cash, that is. Stocks, bonds, currency.
Well, the first thing you know, ol' Peg's a Billionaire.
The Kim folk said, "Let's move away from here."
West Palm Beach is the place we ought to be.
So they loaded up the Gulfstream and moved to the sea.Florida, that is.. No Taxes. Gated Community.

I'm a big KANSAS fan but rarely find bass covers entertaining. This guy nails Magnum Opus (one of my favorite songs). This song starts slowly but goes crazy about half way through. I just found this guy mesmerizing,
