I dunno if they have a deal in place for Stafford, but why would you sit him, if you might wanna trade him. So looks as if they either have a trade in place or dont even wanna trade him...

Clowe not signing for less than 5???????????

I've watched the Sharks a lot last season and this season. Clowe is a player similar to Steve Ott. Points wise he is in the Stafford area (overall he is ahead of Stafford) and adds a lot more grit. He had problems this year and has not scored a goal yet, but with the short camp many players around the league had those problems. Clowe is making 3.625.000 and this bad season right now isnt a plus for him if he wants to make more money next year. So you might be able to get him around the 3mil mark and maybe even below that.

I am happy with Clowe for Stafford. Try to add Clarkson from the Devils who will be a UFA this summer and we have an incredible 3rd line: Clowe-Ott-Clarkson

It's a difference if you stop high class scoring chances or chest shots. If you ask the people around the league... Fans from other teams wet their pants just becuase they heard Miller might be available. It's mentally tough and it is tough for a goalie if you get so much work over and over again. This year Miller played: 1566 Minutes - Shots against 848 This year Lundqvist played: 1539 Minutes - Shots against 724 Miller has so much more work to do

Buffalo and with exception of maybe 1 season. Miller has always been stellar for the Sabres. The Defense on this team is/was so bad lately its unbelieavable. We could have had Rinne or Brodeur or Anderson or whoever you want in net, the Results wouldnt have been much different. It took Kaleta 3 shifts to shot on goal from behind the net as he tried to put it in of the goalie. Hecht is his linemate for 3 shifts and Kaleta already adjusted his game. Who else laughed here when kaleta tried it :D..
