After listening to those interviews from the beginning of march or april until today, it sounds to me as if Miller wants to stay, while Vanek wants out.

I will never forget his 2 goal game against the Rangers in game 6 of the 07 playoffs. His second goal was one of the best deflections I have ever seen and I think Brett Hull was on NBC that year and he said pretty much the same. I hope he wins the Bill Masterton Trophy. Would be well deserved although chances might not be that high. Overall a type of player that will be missed in Buffalo...

I was wondering how we did against Playoff-Teams compared to non-playoff teams. Didn't want to abuse the Charts thread so I made a new one. Green indicates we won the season series(based on points), yellow -> tied, red -> lost our Offense was better against playoff teams, while the Defense was better against non-playoff teams. Funny that we won the season series against the two top teams in the conference. we collected 1,03 Points per game vs. playoff teams and only 0,89 points per game vs. non-playoff teams btw I did not include Shoot-out goals as I wanted to look at goals that were "scored within the game" only...

Neither did I... There are only a few 3rd or 4th line players who are better than him. And probably none better than him around that Salary... Just read that Hecht is the Sabres finalist for the Bill Masterton Trophy.

Still there would be a riot in buffalo if they sign him again. Hiwever I think he will find a good team in the nhl to play with next year...

2 weeks... he practices with them for 2 weeks maximum. He could have learned as much if not more in the AHL going into the playoffs with a team he knows a little bit playing for a cup... I doubt that come summercamp he will say "wow those 9 days at the end of last season changed everything."

That was stupid then. What does he learn on a team that has nothing to play for...

I still think it was a stupid move to bring him to buffalo for a few games instead of sending him to rochester. Last sabres game friday night. Rochester playoffs start Saturday afternoon. No time for him to adjust or get to know the guys. It would have been much better if he would have played a few games with the amerks prior to the playoffs.
