  1. Everyone, JJ and Liger have swapped accounts I think :w00t:
  2. Yes. For someone who has invoked misogyny as a problem in the politics thread, I'm actually rather surprised you went with what you did regarding Reinhart.
  3. Ahem...(obligatory small sample warning) Jonathan Willis ‏@JonathanWillis 27m27 minutes ago Jonathan Willis Retweeted Buffalo Sabres 2016-17: - Risto/no Gorges: 56% Corsi - Risto/Gorges: 43% Corsi - Gorges/no Risto: 33% Corsi There's a ZS element to that, but even so.
  4. And are arguably quite a bit better at doing than teaching... Separately, I didn't make this, nor is it related to anything being discussed, but....BEHOLD! The power of partisanship:
  5. No, but I won't allow my dislike of Bylsma to put me in a spot where I'd like Hitchhockey in Buffalo.
  6. God dammit! I loved the idea of Reinhart between Carrier and Okposo. GET KANE AWAY FROM OUR SKILLED PLAYERS DAMMIT!
  7. Reading the tea leaves, I think it depends on whether you ask Bylsma or Murray.
  8. I shouldn't rule it out because it's Benning, but not sure I see team trading Juolevi. Then again, I also can't see them moving someone like Edler because trading for Kane would be a win now move. All I know is trading with Benning is always a good idea.
  9. True, but it would free up Reinhart to be center full time.
  10. It shall re-emerge as Presidential Apprentice.
  11. Don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up. Welp, didn't work, my hopes are up.
  12. The argument is the degree to which that indoctrinates students.
  13. No one thing cost Hillary the election. She contributed, her team contributed, Trump contributed, Comey contributed, the cyclical nature of politics contributed, media (note the distinct lack of "the" there). And probably more.
  14. Well played.
  15. Do you burn real money in this fashion? If so, allow me to volunteer to serve as your bookie.
  16. I would guess that those who do believe in indoctrination don't think tin foil is a discretionary purchase. Just a guess.
  17. *nodding approvingly* Anyone with experience teaching at the college level will tell you it's impossible to indoctrinate students to study for exams (and students have been getting that indoctrination since childhood!), let alone to take a certain position on issues
  18. It's Andrew Sullivan, so probably not.
  19. If you want to go to sleep early tonight I highly recommend it.
  20. 3 units on the Blues.
  21. The question at this point is whether Neo or Inkman can pull it together and finish ahead of Whiskeys abandoned team. I hope not.
  22. I agree, watching him twist into a pretzel to defend his guy Bylsma would be more entertaining than the hockey.
  23. That article is glorious  Social media is your enemy if you're interested in real news. Half my time online these days is spent keeping up on fake news so I can tell students how fake it is. Seriously, every class I get some kind of "I read _____ online and..." :wallbash:
  24. The problem is, nobody in an important positions is dumb enough to provide the only kind of proof that is going to convince you of anything, barring a hot mic or something along those lines. What do you expect anyone to find, a videotape of Bannon saying "I hate n______"? The man has admitted white supremacists and anti-semites are attracted to the ideology of the "alt-right". He has said that two men were merely "accused of racism" when they have said things like this and this. There is literally a "black crime" section on his website. His website has published pieces explicitly endorsing known white nationalists, and offers an unfettered outlet for the exposition of their views. Do these connections and countless others require some level of inference? Yes. But it's not exactly like claiming we're all living in the matrix and presenting the human body's power output as the evidence.
