Source that Eichel wants out? As far as we know, he has never asked for a trade, and he simply wanted a surgery that he felt would get him on the ice the quickest, and let us know that via a press conference 2 months ago, the only thing we have ever heard from him that deviates from baseline.

I get being indifferent towards the future circumstances of Jack Eichel. Given all available facts, though, it's tough to square away the animosity that some people already have. It's ugly and not inviting good hockey karma. We all saw what happened the last time the Sabres invited hockey karma with this type of ugliness. We became the only team to be in first place after October (and it was almost December) to miss the NHL playoffs in history (we missed by 20 points) while the guy we wished ill on won everything you can win.

Literally make this every morning, scramble the eggs, toast the bread, lay them on, soak in frank's, and either close the entire sandwich or make two small ones by folding the toast. It's fun, but it's really messy and I always lose at least a little bit of egg (i don't like to eat stuff if it falls off a plate, no matter where it lands).

However miniscule it is, Vegas is going to be our shot at Zegras
-
Seems like every play marchessault has made tonight is exactly wrong
-
I thought Josh allen was the dumbest thing a buffalo franchise has done in my lifetime
-
Yep, good to see that a deal obviously not good enough is being cast aside
-
Is a desperate and angry Vegas about to enter the chat?
-
I don't remember who and it doesn't matter, but several people here were incredibly insistent that we stay far away.
-
I remember really liking Krebs. Sounds like he had a good year of development (or two? Has it been two?)
-
Root for MTL. A desperate Vegas team can help us. Oh, you don't want to trade Zegras? That's too bad, looks like we have to send Jack to your stacked division rival... You slogged through the worst offseason in sabres history (the 2021 nhl regular season) and are leaving just before the show starts? This is our playoffs!
-
I used to hate Jonathan toews. Can't even remember the reasoning I used to have
-
Ditch Dumba and Boldy for EE and Fiala and I'm with ya
-
Isn't rossi the guy that missed the whole season with severe covid? Adding Fiala and EE would basically give the sabres a brand new top six line, and they're both still young and growing and very good. I mean, try to get rossi with them. But I'd take EE Fiala and Boldy over Rossi Boldy Dumba or something not named EE/Fiala pretty easy
-
I'd try for those two AND one of rossi/boldy. I think if we got both rossi and boldy our nhl vet return is diminished (I don't want dumba)
-
I'd pick one of the prospects and go for Fiala and Eriksson Ek.
-
My impression has always been that he's a bad coach. Not that Philly has any accomplishments since he left
-
The only players that should be considered not in our time frame are guys who are a year from retirement and rapidly deteriorating such that they'd provide efforts like Staal on a team like ours. I get that Vegas might not be great match for an eichel trade but in principle any player on that team could help us to some degree and would therefore be worth it in the right situation
-
Don't worry, Zegras won't be in there... :(
-
Sure, but there are going to be loads of additions from one avenue or another. We won't know until the offseason is complete
-
I would target value over age in those deals. There are a billion solid vet ufas this year it seems like. I definitely want some, but won't be worried unless like 2 pieces of these combined deals are nhl ready
-
I just think loads of factors that helped drag last season and have nothing to do with 9/23/55 will be gone or improved on too. I definitely don't think they held us back
-
I bet we move all 3 and have a better season next year. Not because they suck or anything. And there are zero valid stages of nhl team-building in which a mid to late 20s goalie doesn't make sense.
-
I'm talking bout the 1 forward under 24, 1 D under 24, blue chipprospect, first rounder, and 2 prospects. Is there another rumor? I had only heard this and 4 firsts
-
The 2 regular prospects in that rumor likely wouldn't have first round value. Just guys to give depth to prospect pool
