Do this with Ullmark last year and then look at how we addressed goaltending this summer to get to the stats you quote here. Hell, repeat the exercise going back one year at a time through Hutton and Chad Johnson and whoever else. Where you feel hope I feel dread

Howard drives me nuts. A few weeks ago, Briere had apparently done a podcast and gave some new/interesting info about the summer of 07. Jeremy was gearing up to tell us what he said as the show was ending. Inexplicably, Howard started shouting and pouting something along the lines of "NO YOU CANT TELL I DONT WANT TO KNOW,IT HURTS TOO MUCH." Jeremy tried to push through and tell it, and Howard continued to shut him down. Unbelievably, the show ends and I still haven't heard what Danny said. First of all, it didn't make any sense. If you loved briere so much wouldn't you want to know more about who to blame and why he left rather than being left in the dark? Second, you are a talk show host and should be providing your listeners with more stories and info, not less. Third, he was whining like a toddler. I still can't believe that this happened And he also posesses the worst of the analytics crowd's smugness/elitism without any of their understanding or mathematical talent

That's a fair point. Do the Sabres keep their thumbs on WGR hosts that strongly? I've definitely not heard anything to that degree about the Bills before. But I also wouldn't be surprised if Craig is just being reactionary and going with the flow

I listened to Rivet for hundreds of hours during Jack's career and he never once mentioned that he had a problem with Eichel's interviews lol. Rivet regularly glowed about Jack, including his presence in the locker room, on the insitgators as recently as 2021. I get there being catharsis from the way this game played out, but I always feel uneasy when Sabres fans get into moods like this, especially when the team is still just as bad as ever. It was a feel-good moment that feels dirtier and uglier the more people tweet about it, but ultimately it was also another meaningless moment in a meaningless season Krebs was honestly horrendous outside of the goal unfortunately. The top line got gummed up, but seemed to play it evenly the other way. Hinostroza is a guy that the Sabres rarely hit on for the bottom 6. If the Sabres are really different this time, he will stick around for next year's fourth line and they won't have any anchors there. If it's more of the same, he will be elsewhere and we will still ice a bottom 10 line in the entire NHL Great game from Anderson, the perfect game to get win 300 on, rock solid.
