  1. The Sabres and Rangers have probably played the same game 21 consecutive times
  2. The Rangers have something on the Sabres and the Sabres are going to need to figure it out at some point
  3. I think they're giving you too hard of a time
  4. People spend thousands of words and many hours crafting elaborate offseason scenarios..that wind up with the Sabres icing a full 23 man roster indistinguishable from what they will have the previous spring. This happens on every forum and publication every single year. Drives me crazy lol The Sabres are going to bring in 3-4 starters, or more, from the outside as they always do and every single organization always does
  5. Don't worry, I checked the catalog before posting, inkman isn't active
  6. I noticed that, he definitely takes weightlifting seriously. Being short also can give you very aesthetic muscle insertions
  7. I haven't looked, I only saw that they gave him an offer.
  8. Strength has a real correlation with height, and obviously with weight as well. Bigger teams as a distribution of players will lend to stronger teams, even if short/light individuals CAN be stronger than taller/heavier ones The question is where Bryson lies in the distribution of strength for someone his size, and what other things he brings to the table
  9. Losing Bates would be a low-key big event this offseason. Saffold has his warts and they have nobody to trust with the protection of their 250mil QB behind him at G.
  10. As long as the Bills 1.) Have a healthy, capable Josh Allen 2.) Can scrape together at least 10 wins in 17 games The Bills will have a real chance to win the Superbowl. This is what happens when your QB is one of THOSE guys.
  11. No. He's too small. :)
  12. I don't mind the new logo, but the rest of their new jerseys, color/distribution etc. are terrible and it makes them one of the ugliest teams in the league for sure
  13. I will be there with many frens
  14. Then they Pull that crazy tic tac toe goal out of nowhere from maybe a month ago. I'm forgetting the game unfortunately. It's buried in there somewhere!
  15. Not the thread topic but my top 5 are Dahlin, Tage, Okposo, Tuch, Skinner Ranked by the excitement I feel when they score vlad sobotka, Mike frolik, remie elie, Seth griffith, david legwand
  16. Yep it's a great line. What increases my optimism about Tage is that three different times this year I've thought that the line Tage is on is playing so well that we need to keep it together. The first iteration was him with Olofsson and Asplund, two guys most of us have cooled off of. When you can say that about a player, it is a very good sign But yes this particular first line needs to stay together because it brings out the best in 3 players we need to be playing well to have a chance to win
  17. I love Skinner and think he's been way worse about all of those things too during the bulk of his sabres career (his vision has appeared out of nowhere this year). But I thought he got enough grief from everyone else so I never bothered to say anything. That's all it is, every player outside of the elite spheres could have similar criticisms leveled against them
  18. What's most amazing to me is something that was even still there when he struggled- the tightrope walking at the point. "Dude you are out of space abort ABORT - oh wow...." He makes the defenders act like THEY are the ones inches away from the cliff and peel away out of fear, when they are the ones that should have all the leverage. He finds outlets when backed up to that cliff that seem to appear out of nowhere.
  19. They are about as obvious and inoffensive as can be, imo
  20. Mannerisms was the wrong word. I just think that with the puck on his stick, he plays like he has more skill than he does. So there are times when he has Tage, Skinner, or a point man wide open for a dangerous shot while he's at a goofy/awkward angle to the net with a guy right on him, and he'll try to take a shot or make a move almost every time instead, and will lose possession harmlessly. He does the same thing in transition, choosing to keep the puck when he should pass it far more often than most players, and doesn't have the skill to make anything happen the way an Eichel does (not making the comparison because of the trade, just because eichel is a prototypical transition player who does the same things more effectively) And then there was a dreadful offside in overtime, where it was so obvious that he was going to be offside the whole entire play, with a team that had possession of the puck and now had to take a face off again to get it back (which they lost, and I'm pretty sure didnt see the puck again for another 2 mins). That's the play that made me actually type that out. Most of the time i wouldn't say anything about this stuff because loads of players are as flawed or more flawed and still very good, I still like him and think he's a good player (a good middle six winger), but tuch has captured the imaginations of sabres fans with his excellent attitude and character, so I've seen a lot of "this guy is the next captain" talk and Drury comparisons, so my natural contrarian instincts kick in and I felt like saying something. I hope Tuch becomes our 3rd line driving force because that will mean our team is very strong
  21. A lot of casual fans I know, who know enough to be able to make a list of their five favorite players, don't know who Krebs is yet fwiw
  22. I still remember in his first year here, he was leading a 2 on 1 rush when he did this blind spin/back pass that went right onto the other team's tape, which sent THEM on an odd man rush they scored on
  23. I was mortified at 3 years/1 mil per or whatever the last one was hahaha
