This is certainly preseason hockey! It's not depressing to see preseason hockey in the preseason, it's the way of the league. The only thing depressing about today is how similar it looks to Sabres regular season hockey!

There's not much of this year's Sabres roster on the ice right now, but this group has the same offensive zone problems that plagued us last year. They cannot create or manage ice in the offensive zone against a quicker, more talented roster. Not super worried that it's a sign of things to come simply because of what the roster is tonight, but also would't be surprised to see our team struggle in the same way again this season, given our roster "surgery" or lack thereof

Not saying that it's problematic that it's happening with a hodge-podge preseason lineup, but that reminded me how loose and casual the real Sabres are on the power play, and how often it burns them with chances against. Krueger's gotta work on that

I just don't see any of that as hoping our team is worse. Nobody here wants anything close to that, and wanting him to fail is wanting our team to be worse.
