Monahan + Lindholm? Unless you count Mangiapane or Lucic as a top 6 wing, if this potential deal is with Calgary, it's probably going to be massive. Strome + Kane Strome + Saad Strome + DeBrincat Strome + Kubalik are the likely possibilities that the source's info would allow from Chicago. Some are less exciting. Liger mentioned Frost, but Philly doesn't make sense as a team that fits the mold of potentially wanting to or needing to make a big move if they don't go far in the playoffs, the way Calgary (rumors of them wanting to blow up the core) and Tampa (money) do. I dont think, per say, that Lindholm is a better center than Monahan. I think he brings stuff to the table we might need a little more than Monahan's skill set. But either way I would sing and dance What other options might there be? Staal, Horvat (no way), Domi/Danault, Stepan

The Canes are incredible at creating offense with the puck. They started building toward this in 2015. Jason and Ralph talking about how important it is that our guys are so close was/is nice, but it takes a long time to get this good at hockey, and it still feels like we haven't started down a road that will develop into something like this on the ice yet given that we are still the worst chance-generation team in the league three years running

It depends on their view of Mitts really. That's a lot closer if they want to blow it up, get younger, and think he's a top 6 C soon. If they feel like I do about him that doesn't come close. Lindholm is a 30 goal scoring (29, with 12 games left before covid hit) center/wing that plays good defense. Really expensive in today's NHL I wouldn't do the Cozens/Reinhart trade i mentioned above because I'm sorta lukewarm on Monahan.i think it's on the same order of magnitude value wise and just posted it for fun
