Wow, Miller must have really brainwashed these guys with that "weakness" of his... for them to be doing this even after he's gone...God Dammit Miller!Sabres gave up their customary "about a minute left in the period" goal.

here's the thread for this year, will browse in a bit
If we make Nashville look like they did, yesterday, I'm not too worried.

I'll pay you to go to my lab for me, 1:30-4:30, DLR room 2 :PI don't really want too many more trades today just because I've got absolutely nothing going on before 3 p.m. tomorrow. Except Halak. Move him at any point.

Yupper. I'm still heartbroken. But happy for him. And Ott, too. Go Blues, go.Yeah....I bet there's a lot of younger forum members who've never known any else as the primary Sabres goalie except Ryan Miller.

Ennis is actually 63, but those players were assigned those numbers as young guys brought up in the organization, where chris stewart is already an established player, so the scenarios are different, and thus the number 80 intriguing.I agree....
Foligno wears 82...Ennis 65....Myers 57....are they going anywhere soon?

well har ###### har har.to quote carlin, everything can be joked about

Depression isn't something to just brush off and joke about. I sincerely hope for Ville's sake that this isn't a problem with him.Depressed? Oh, wahhh!!! My attitude towards Leino is like that espoused by Gen. Ennis C. Hawkes in the 1955 film "Strategic Air Command" , when after an air-force base failed a surprise security drill conducted by the General's troops, he unsympathetically informed the Base Commander - " Don't tell me about your little problems! I'm only interested in results!"

:P I really don't think it's trolling.And now you are 0 for 2 at avoiding a troll post. :D
But Miller's GAA is 1.00. Quick's is only 1.50. Clearly, the stats show us who should play the rest of Team USA's games, no?Well, there have been many Miller defenders who have pointed out over the last year that I was "off base" in pointing out his lack of shutouts in nearly 2 years.
Let's see... the usual excuses that I've been countered with are....
Well, he's got a poor line in front of him
He's faced a lot of shots
He faced high quality teams
The "NO" buzzer sounds loudly in front of all these traditional excuses. I think his inability to deliver a shut-out in all of these games is an important metric - it indicates either a lack of focus, attitude, hunger, desire, an erosion of ability or some mix of the aforementioned.

well I didn't see it in the other thread until after I posted, but it didn't get an impressive response in this one, I don't think. Weak sauce, either way.I dunno. It got a response. I'd call the trolling attempt rather successful, no?
-
If this is a trolling attempt...it's a rather bad one. If this is a real hockey opinion...it's a rather bad one.I almost thought Miller was going to get a shut-out this morning. it was against a sub-par Slovenian team, but it would have been his first shutout since March of 2012.
Nope, he couldn't do it - not even with only 18 shots on goal. Pretty much confirms my opinion that Miller has gone substantially downhill.

Sorry, I meant if nfreeman was joking. I thought it was funny that the "global warming, my ass" was followed up by a post exclaiming record-breaking warm temperatures.Nope, just pointing out that it's been an unseasonably warm winter here. We haven't had a winter.
-
Global warming, my ass.
:P83°
Most likely going to break another record today.
Edit: and I don't know if you were joking or not, but this no more disproves global warming than the record hot temperatures in Australia, over 120 degrees for very long stretches, proves it.

Woah man, quit with the personal insults. You're always so stuck up, think you're so much better than anyone else, on that high horse of yours. No wonder this forum is unreadable. You're a Nazi.

Ah, I was on Transit. Hope you get better quickly as well!I was at AccelCare in Henrietta on Jefferson Road. Hope whatever brought you there is doing better today!
haha d4rk was referencing this episode last night. I've never seen it. Changing that now :) I'm slathered in calamine at the moment. They gave me some fun chalky horse pill that'll kill it from the inside, too.
First complaint was that the snow plows had knocked two feet of snow into the entrance, so when we turned in, we were stuck for 20 minutes or so, even with people pushing. Not the best place for something like that to happen. We did end up being lucky however, I was taking two close friends who rolled their car without seatbelts on, to get checked out, and all was clear. Very very grateful for that.

Which Urgent Care was it? We might have crossed paths...I have chicken pox.
I don't know how. I had the vaccine as a kid. Never had them before.
I felt truly awful last week and thought it was just a flu bug that wouldn't end. Then the spots appeared the day I got into my car accident. I thought it was ringworm from working with infected rescue cats over break. I finally couldn't take it any longer last night and it took two incredulous doctors at urgent care to confirm that yes, I have chicken pox. AND ringworm, as previously suspected.
Holy crap I am an itchy bitch right now. It's like a swarm of mosquitoes descended upon me and turned me into a spotted, itching plague vector.
Between that, still not knowing if my car is totaled or not and some local insane dude running around the area with an assault rifle last night and this morning, I'm ready for a change in luck. Still a light complaint in the grand scheme of things. But urgh.

Seems like Comet ISON might have just broken apart...

Misery loves company, then, maybe? Cause I'm still laughing. :PThe Sabres have lost 21 of 26 games, Sabres fans know first hand, there's nothing funny about losing.
The Sabres are being out shot by an average of 10.7 shots per game. They may have not been out shot 17-0 in a single period, there have been some that felt like it.
