  1. Last shave for a month, going home from school in 10 hours, and despite what we're watching, it's better than the hockey we were watching this time last year. I'll take it, really. Life is good. Even if one is in troubling times. It'll be okay in the end, if it isn't okay, then it isn't the end.

  2. Thanks LGR and Claude. and yeah, my parents wanted to wait for a guy to come and do something to our septic system before they picked up the prescriptions. then, the original pain stuff wore off. I literally pushed them into the car and said "Drive as fast as you can."

    You weren't kidding. holy crap.

  3. Congrats all around! Seems late for graduation, though... isn't that normally early June?

For me: today is the first day of my boss's vacation, extending through all of next week. The stinky co-worker has been scarce while he "stays home writing" (yeah, right) and the other coworker is out as well, so I've got the place to myself. And the weather is beautiful here today. Bring on the weekend!

we go later, I think, than most schools. Thank you. Though I haven't had time to post much, I still love reading what people have to say here.

    It's a lovely day.

A little money changes everything, doesn't it? I really didn't have a clue where I'd end up, but I took the school who gave me the most money. Maybe it wasn't the smartest move, but I can't complain.

Actually, UB gave me a lot less money than the other school, but that other school is a private school and much more expensive even with the scholarship. But yes, the money is certainly a main factor in the decision.

    And thanks, qwk.

    Hope all went well, d4rksabre.

    Same with the grandfather, bio.

Best of luck, Touched by Boyes!

  5. I thought I knew where I was headed to college, but I threw an application in to UB anyway, on the deadline, February first. Well past considerable school scholarship stage.

Their acceptance, along with a surprise scholarship, completely changed my mind. I think I'll be a UB student in the fall.

  6. Axl Rose is a bitch. Nothing about this ahole is likeable.

    This x 1,000,000

As for awesome things, my mother went in to the doctors today for a follow up from surgery to remove some early detected "bad" cells that weren't quite cancerous yet, and is finally completely healthy, we can let out our breaths that have been held since the summertime.

Hope things go just as well for Hank, LPF, and all others experiencing health problems with themseleves/their families.

If the fecal matter were to hit the air circulation device

    Lol

Homeowners have a ready supply of water even if the water pressure drops. Hot water tanks all have a valve on the bottom of them.

A few weeks ago our well water ran dry, and I used this to shower before school. It was very helpful, because I needed to go to school, and as stupid as it sounds I refuse to be in public unless showered.

And to True, we purchase one pack of bottles of water, and then reuse them for lunches etc. for months and months, until they gradually begin to disappear, and when they do we buy another. I don't understand as well why people would waste money buying bottled water with their weekly groceries.

    I missed that one...explain?

    We're just slowly being poisoned...

Long story short, a company has this huge pile of ###### building up, and it is being burned to get rid of. The town has smelled like garbage mixed with melting plastic and burning hair for months now, and the EPA took tests, and the results were fairly...horrible. I read on some news site that styrene levels were 704times the safe limit, and there are highly elevated amounts of carcinogens...

People in town over the weekend, as they put out the fire, were literally told to not go outside, at all. I have friends on the street of hillcrest whose parents are having respiratory problems, and cant do anything...and our XC tram has been running through town for months...

Hopefully it will be over soon though, now that the fire is out.

Oh, and dozens of faculty and students were sent home due to dizziness and nausea/vomiting last Friday alone.

And every, last, single student and teacher is sick with what appeared to be a cold, but colds don't last from the start of school in September, to right now, with no end to the symptoms. Either it's because of the air or it is an extremely flukey bug.

You may want to be a bit careful with some of this stuff at your age though. If you do decide to follow up on some advice here, be sure to check ahead that its ok for you.

certainly, I'll probably just ask a doctor for proper vitamins, and research some good workouts to help wih bulk, as well as proper nutrition.
