  1. Joseph Woll is starting in net for Toronto, it will be His NHL Debut
  2. @Taro T and they are starting Cozens Line versus McDavid’s anyways
  3. Wear the Sabres Jerseys. There is a good chance people will buy You sympathy beers for being a Sabres Fan.
  4. Absolutely, plus after the TDL there are no restrictions on roster size as long as the player is signed to on of the Team’s 50 Contracts
  5. He’s starting to
  6. One could argue that they have already been doing this for awhile 😉
  7. I understand what you are saying that He would be facing the Top Line for the other team, but He was put in that situation last year against the likes of Crosby without the support of the the teams two best defensive wingers. For a few games until they get healthy, try it. Dylan’s Responsibility will be to carry the puck out of the zone after the As retrieve it. See if He has success with these two, if he doesn’t move Him to Mittlestadt’s Wing when he is back or put Him back with Skinner and Bjork. If all this fails, send Him to Rochester.
  8. In Adams Defense at the Trade Deadline He was flying solo in the Front Office. As inexperienced as He is at the GM Position, Ralph Krueger was the de facto AGM until He was fired. Jason Karmanos wasn’t hired until after the TDL and Sam Ventura came on board in July. The parameters of 3 year deal were discussed and Adams felt confident enough to move forward without moving Him. As UFA approached, Reinhart and Risto were traded, McCabe was leaving and Jack was as good as gone. Boston came in with the 4 year 5 Million Offer, which Buffalo probably would have had to gone to at least 5 x 5 to beat. Given the current situation at goaltender, this is a negative against Adams, let’s see what happens with UPL as well as the goalie trade market this summer. I imagine Portillo will be with Buffalo for a few games this year and in Rochester next year, but until one proves at in the NHL, it means nothing.
  9. Yes in Denver with Dr Chad Prusmack
  10. The Sabres Offered a 3 year deal at 4 Million AAV which is the reason why he wasn’t moved at the deadline. The plan was for Him to be the starter for the next two seasons and transition to one of the goalies in the latter half of the deal. They were willing to match the AAV of 5 Million, but not the extra year once Boston’s Offer came in. Ullmark followed the pattern of Jack, Reinhart, Risto and McCabe wanting out, an extra year and a chance to play for a winner made the decision that much easier. With all due to respect to Vogl, He really doesn’t appear to have any team sources, He doesn’t break any Sabres related news. Having to cover this team for a living would make anyone jaded against the organization and any opportunity to portray it in bad light is seemingly taken.
  11. Mitts and Tuch are still on IR still listed as day to day
  12. Olofsson-Thompson-Asplund Peterka-Krebs-Quinn Skinner-Cozens-Murray Zemgus-Jankowski-Okposo Dahlin-Samuelson Power-Jokiharju Johnson-Bryson Pysyk Portillo Anderson
  13. I would argue It’s better for Dylan though and His Development, if Eakin, Vinny and Drake are still on the team next year that’s a major failure. Once Mittlestadt and Olofsson are back it will be easier to adjust the lineup, but putting Cozens into the best position to succeed should be the goal for now.
  14. They are 0-4-1 in Their Last Five, with two functional lines right now. Cozens was getting the opponent’s top line in most road matchups with obvious results. It appears the organization is more concerned with development then Wins and Losses at this point Give Him the Teams Best Two Defensive Wingers and see how He fares. He was put out against Crosby last season, let’s see what happens with guys who are good at it. And I think you meant Cozens, not Thompson in the First Line of Your Response, I wouldn’t touch the Thompson Line right now.
  15. Cozens is eighth in controlled zone entry in the entire league, He is also in the Top Ten for controlled zone exits. He absolutely needs better wingers. Vinnie and the Drake are horrible at puck retrieval in the defensive zone, which leads to prolonged periods of time spent in there for the entire line. Anthony Sciandra wrote an article for Expected Buffalo, detailing the Lines Struggles. He suggested moving Cozens to be the center for Zemgus and Okposo. He would learn defensive zone responsibility from them and those two have a tendency to flip the ice. With Cozens being strong on the transition, more goals scored by a line of Zemgus-Cozens-Okposo off the rush is a real possibility. Yes the Zemgus-Eakin-Okposo Line is the team’s best defensive line (I believe that’s more Zemgus and Okposo than Eakin), but moving Cozens to that line until Mittlestadt and/or Olofsson are ready to return would be best for Cozens development. If playing with Zemgus and Okposo or getting better linemates with the return of Olofsson and Mittlestadt doesn’t improve things, then send Him to Rochester. Either way at the Trade Deadline I would make sure Cozens, Peterka, Quinn and Krebs are all eligible for the AHL Playoffs.
  16. LeBrun interviewed Kevyn Adams He mentioned that after He got back from Michigan on Sunday, Adams took Tuch out to Dinner. On Monday After Amerks Practice, He took Peyton Krebs out to lunch and spent a few hours with Him getting to know Krebs.
