    From @SportsnetTicker, time of 1st Deadline Day trade: 2008: 10:31am 2009: 9:55am 2010: 10:28am 2011: 10:35am 2012: 10:35am 2013: 12:20pm

I know its from Bob but he may have a point here..

Game of chicken right now for #Isles Snow & #Sabres Murray : Whoever waits the other guy out (Vanek/Moulson deals) might get desperate team

  2. Interesting. I would think that's dead now. Maybe could have or did try to do Halak and Stafford. Oh well.

Hopefully not, we will find out soon enough!

Awfully quiet on the Halak front. Sabres may have priced themselves out of a solid return. Do the Caps take a chance? Limited options now.

Bruins not interested in Christian Ehrhoff.

  3. So I think it's about time I step out of denial and admit what I think is the horrible truth: we are not getting McDavid OR Eichel. With the talk really getting hotter on a Seattle expansion in 2015, they'll get the first pick. They'll likely want to expand to an even 32 (Quebec City) which means those two teams will have a coin flip that will decide who gets the first two picks.

We'll be tanking for the third overall pick next year.

Would the Current NHL Owners who maybe have a chance to win the NHL Draft Lottery in 2015 allow two brand new franchises to start with Mc David and Eichel almost guaranteeing them success for the next decade?

Then again with the amount of money an expansion fee brings in who knows.

  4.

Pat's presence brought a degree of respect to the Sabres' organization. This team was pretty much being viewed as a joke, nationally, before PLF took over from Regier. And we also saw under Pat's leadership the return of Ted Nolan, and the hiring of Murray, both excellent positive moves.

This is what concerns me. Pat's presence might have been the difference between a FA deciding to sign here or not,

Then again winning would help this as well

  5. From a blogger..

    Two in the Box@2ITB_Buffalo 3m

The more I see the more I feel that LaFontaine was misled in what his role would be

    Two in the Box@2ITB_Buffalo 2m

He was prob hired w/ the understanding that he'd have control and a say in the direction but mgmt ended up just wanting him as a figurehead

    Two in the Box@2ITB_Buffalo 1m

He brought all the good PR feels for the fans but wasn't going to be given much say in moves. He prob thought otherwise
