  1. He and Ray talk way too much during actual play. For example here is the Dunleavy’s call of Dylan Cozens first goal Compared to the Capitals call of the same goal Benson’s First was much better Compared to the Capitals Call
  2. Jarventie was one pick in front of JJ Peterka, who went 34th Overall
  3. His Wife is in her final year of residency, it’s difficult to change programs after July 1st as most if not all spots are full at other hospitals. I do not blame him for not wanting to be moved
  4. I do not believe there is interest from the Sabres anyways
  5. Peter Fish, Eichel’s Former Agent, made it clear to the Sabres that Jack would welcome other opportunities in the NHL in the final months of the Botterill Tenure. GMKA’s plan to rebuild certainly did nothing to stop it, but the inevitability of Eichel being traded was already cast in stone Adams certainly does deserve a lot of other criticisms of course
  6. Here are the charts for NAK and Malenstyn with and without Dowd.
  7. The Winnipeg Jets should get their history back
  8. They have two years to make a decision on him. Let’s see how this year goes
  9. Great write up. I would move Anton Wahlberg ahead of Östlund, I think he will be a great utility winger who can play up and down the lineup. Skating will be Novikov’s major weakness
  10. I think the deal would have been 1:1 with the same prospect going to Carolina. The fact that Tulsky, who is considered one of the smartest minds in hockey, changed his mind on the deal, adds to the belief they moved the right prospect. Drury does have slightly better defensive metrics, but the difference is almost negligible, especially when you take into account he plays in Carolina’s System and players typically do not replicate those results for other teams. McLeod does have better offensive metrics and I believe he could be moved into the 2C position in the event Cozens does not have the expected bounce back
  11. I believe he will have a large say in where he plays. He will probably get most of the PK Time over Kulich, while Kulich is on the top PP. With the level of talent that’s in the Rochester Forward group I imagine there is a better balance between the second and third line TOI
  12. His value to them had been dropping for a while. It’s comparing apples to oranges, but the Ringer did a study of baseball prospects who were traded by the team that originally compared to those the team decided to keep. The prospects who remained with the team fared better in their careers. The thought process is the original team knows the strengths and weaknesses of each player better. It would be interesting to see if this is applicable to the NHL. Playing along side 97 or 29 will certainly help Savoie though .
  13. Joel Farabee was a topic of discussion on the latest Maintenance Day Episode released today. The Sabres have good insight into the player he is as Seth Appert coached him at the USNDTP. Joe Yerdon interviewed Appert in 2018 about Farabee and Seth raved about him. What peaked my interest is the rumored acquisition cost. Lance Lysowski mentioned the league knows about the Flyers interest in Peyton Krebs as they do not have center depth. Couple that with Michov knocking Farabee down the depth chart and Philadelphia needing to clear cap space a deal centered around Krebs and Farabee makes sense. Lysowski mentioned Krebs, Clifton and 2025 2nd for Farabee
  14. Yes, he was the prospect they were offering in trade negotiations
  15. This one still hurts
  16. Let’s see, it’s been reported all over the hockey media that Ehlers doesn’t want to sign an extension with Winnipeg and that Necas wants out of Carolina. If either is moved, that team will be looking for a replacement with all the top UFAs signed and a limited trade market. Carolina would have strong shot that Ehlers agrees to an extension and Winnipeg would have team control over Necas. So yeah, a trade involving Carolina and Winnipeg with Necas and Ehlers makes a lot of sense
  17. I’m going to politely disagree with this. Levi signed with the understanding he would be given every opportunity to get NHL time from the beginning and (much to the chagrin of this board) no long term goaltenders would be signed to block his path. I do not believe the promise of no AHL Time was given. Adams gathers opinions from various sources, the front office, coaches and such. One of his weaknesses ( yes there are a lot more) is allowing certain opinions to carry more weight. There were rumblings that certain members of the front office wanted Levi to go to Rochester, but Granato and Adams to an extent felt he gave them a better opportunity to win. A few weeks after these initial rumors, Jeff Marek mentioned on his radio show, that there are those in the Sabres Front Office who felt Levi getting a majority of the starts in Rochester was the best option for him, but a few people still wanted him in the NHL. After hearing this from a major member of the Hockey Media, I do believe those rumblings to be the truth.
  18. I like this perspective. The last two sentences hit the mark
