Moving Miller doesn't necessarily land a top 6 guy right now. Especially with the short season....too many healthy goalies. -

Hockey players don't care if your goalie is Pol Pot in terms of personality. As long as he stops the puck. Miller is pitching .915 year after year, that is pretty bankable. And I think less common than you'd think. A few goalies might do it for a season or two, very few do it year after year. This league chews goalies up. Enroth is small, inconsistent rebound control, he's a nightmare handling the puck, and really relies on timing more than positioning to cover his posts. Upside is he has good vision, and doesn't seems unflappable. I'm hoping he stays a good backup. I'm also happy when he does well. But I wouldn't bet the franchise on him playing 60 games. I love Torts pressers! -

i wouldn't be against it. I would hope for a more cap friendly deal going forward. He's not going to get any younger. -

Yikes. No GM is going to make that call. Even with this stuff floating around. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/12/report-ryan-millers-days-could-be-numbered-in-buffalo/ The post-ryan miller sabres may be here soon enough and there is no way I want to think Enroth stands in for 60 gms a season. There will be another solution. -

No doubt. He is best just crashing net. All season he's been stuck on the wall supporting the puck to the outside with no chance of scoring. -

Nice stick wave, Tyler. -
Bjustag (sp?)is a beast, the kid is huge and protects the puck, and Drew Shore will be in the NHL for years. I would love to pry some of the prospects away from Tallon. They are loaded with prospects.

Chicago scouts were peeing themselves when Teravainen fell to them at 18.

I'm kinda feeling bad for the press corps. Old Logic: We are tired of Lindy after 15 years. New Logic: How long can we put up with the careful politeness and library voice of Rolston? Whenever I hear the guy I think somebody is about to putt for birdie.

well done.

Monty on waivers. Wow.

1986 was bad. But that team had more overall talent.

He definitively turned into it. He does it all the time. -
Bruce Boudreau ........ I wonder what he thinks these days. That team today is making him look pretty good for how bad they suck without him.

I see what you are doing. You are trying to save yourself one hour of watching the Sabres for each game the rest of the season. Nice try mister.

 Philly's season is looking shot if they don't turn it around soon. Their fore-check ain't what it used to be. I do enjoy that they dumped Richards and Carter who went on to win a cup in LA. I'll admit it, I want to see Philly fail. It is not their relevancy....it is their unique brand of hubris that is wonderfully loathsome. -
that's a disgrace.

....the hate is from the playoff history, IMO. we are talking about a team that is chasing the Islanders. except for the powerplay, the flyers haven't been very good. -
What ever happened between Teddy and Dominic?
-
Ennis gets knocked off his skates more than any other forward. He gets up, but it is not a good sign for a center. He only finds room to the outside. Teams will give him the outside every time. Teams are made of lines. His entries don't break down the zone . He's not finding his wings inside the circles for shots. Its just how I see it. It ain't working. I expect similar results going forward. Stafford and Foligno have had weak scoring opportunities. They are holding possession on the walls, that's working ....Ennis's job is to support and move it inside ...it's not happening. I like Ennis too, its just not a working at center.
-
Of course it is a battle. But it is one the Ennis is losing. At even strength pucks are just not getting to the slot. He's just is not a guy that can bear down on the puck in traffic and wait and buy time for his wings to get to scoring areas. He doesn't have that kind of stability on his skates either (He gets knocked off his skates continually, compare to Pomminstein and hodgson who almost never get knocked off their skates). I'm not saying Ennis isn't a competitor or a skilled, I'm just saying this hasn't worked. Of course - Ennis' line is just not winning possession either. His even strength face-off percentage is 39% .......he's losing possession 61% of the time. Ennis belongs on the wing, or as a PP specialists. The trouble with this roster is there is no other option for #2 center. Hell there is barely a good option for #3 center. This is a bad roster. Hodgson was a gamble at #1 ....that has paid off. We have a #1 line. Ennis was a gamble at #2 - it has lost. There isn't a 2nd line. Grigorenko was a gamble at #3 ...and that has lost, the kid has lots of potential, he just can't carry the mail yet. There is not logical checking line either. This team is not going to win many.
