  1. Are you saying the coffee is probably cold and the cola probably warm by now? bleech.
  2. Pegula is a Tim Hortons guy, and Black looks like a diet cola man. Can Darcy keep his head in such a highly caffeinated environment?
  3. From what I remember of watching him....he wasn't the flashiest skater, nor very physical, but had good puck possession skills and vision. He's the kind of guy that can hang onto the puck for a long period and wait for his wings to crash the net. I would definitely make the move for Pommer and a high pick. He has high end center potential with a right handed shot. If I got him I'd also be keeping Vanek.
  4. I made the mistake of tuning into local radio. They are arguing goaltending....great cats. We must be watching different teams. By all means trade Miller if you get a great return, but you have a team that just gave up 40 shots to Florida.
  5. I think that's their quota. They can go home now.
  6. I think mostly he has never seemed to have a coherent plan that I could understand. I can't see where I think he's overachieved.
  7. I, for one, promise not to come crying to you. I'll open a twitter account or something.
  8. That's what it is? I had no idea.
  9. Call me extremely skeptical. I just don't think he's a talented hockey guy. An AHL team generally needs to find 5 or 6 veteran players. That's it. Managing a scouting department is a little different than scouting. In fact the only guy I can think of that Feaster drafted that has worked out was Stamkos. He picked first. I also can't think of a trade that he has won. His work with the Flames has me scratching my head. He did bring Doug Janik to Tampa. So that was something I'll give him credit for. :P We'll see what happens to Mark Jankowski ...a guy that Feaster picked (that was projected for the 2nd or 3rd round) that he used with the Gaustad pick Buffalo gave him to take Zemgus Girgenson.
  10. With all due respect to the American Bar, what team has Jay Feaster built? I wouldn't trust him with hockey decisions. Managing contracts in a cap era and a stadium, sure.
  11. True. I could make a 100% effort at doing an double axel into a salchow....that won't make me good at it.
  12. It really is all a matter of style. Herb Brookes, Mike Keenan, Hitchcock, at times Bowman were all comfortable letting a team rally together out of common hatred for their coach. That has seemingly gone out of fashion. I wouldn't have a problem with Rolston calling out every player on this team. They stink. I don't have a problem with players throwing each other under the bus either. Teams don't have to like each other. If we have a lot of love in the room. Great. The team still stinks.
  13. \ He did. He got a cup....mostly with Dud's roster. But he was there. Feaster was a lawyer with no hockey background. That was Dud's team. In someway Feaster is the poster-boy for any kid who plays fantasy sports. (and he looks like Uncle Fester...so there's that.)
  14. There we go. Good info.
  15. Edgar Cayce too predicted Peters coming.
  16. Put any two of Hamilton, Subban, Kholklachev, a first in 2013 and second in 2014, and that might start the conversation.
  17. I don't think so. I've never seen the CBA so I'm not even sure how it works. I think Lecavalier would do a lot to balance out lines, but that contract is a beast.
  18. Players hate getting scratched when healthy. Scratch players after a loss and they still hate it but can deal with it. Scratch veteran players after a win and you lose the room pretty quickly. In their minds you've just broken up a line that won the night before.
  19. There is snow on the ground. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............
  20. Jay Feaster sets the bar pretty low for GMs. He's been trying to build a team from the wing in since forever......
  21. Shero's got it right. Having Crosby and Malkin draw vets that want to win a cup. One thing you have to love about NHL players, they want a cup. Play well enough to make the playoffs and retool the roster for a cup run before every deadline. Those pieces make it easy.
  22. Goaltender is weak link there. I don't think Vancouver trades will trade with Chicago .....so that leaves.... Miller for Teravainen!! (Hey the kid is 5'9" :P) (check that.....he's 5'11" .....he's not our kind of guy.)
  23. If I'm Stan Bowman in Chicago, I'm probably asking about Miller. Just saying.
