  1. And I think Stan in Chicago is still only 39 or 40 years old.
  2. You can tell the vets appreciate it more. I always liked to watch guys like Mike Greer go through the line. They take their time. It seemed in the 70's and 80's in the Adams the line could last minutes. There you are kids. I wouldn't want mine looking up to this one. (And that's without pretending that Weise is any angel. )
  3. I think because Nolan is the better coach for what we have now. The 2014-15 season. I've never been a fan of Nolan's X's and O's but I've never doubted the compete level. First things first: Work ethic, become a bear of a team to compete against, and then fine tune. I think Nolan is okay for stage one and two.
  4. If I could get the flux capacitor working on my Delorean, I would be there too.
  5. I think the play of his bottom 6 is why. Buffalo has a about 10 players in the bottom 6, so I wouldn't touch Bylsma.
  6. I'm betting there must be some philosophical differences between Lemieux and Shero. If I was a team looking for a GM I'd hire Shero in a Brooklyn version of a New York minute - or at least a Washington one. :flirt:
  7. I love this song. United Federation of Planets.
  8. I'm very surprised by Shero getting fired. Not at all surprised that Bylsma did.
  9. I can't imagine Feaster getting it. Darcy I can imagine. I just can't see him being Leonis's guy. I would hire Marty Lapointe - but the Canadiens are still alive.
  10. Subban is a more mature player this year. Many of us didn't think he deserved the Norris - and I still don't think he did. But the Conn Smyth? No doubt he should be in the Conn Smyth discussion.
  11. Taking nothing away from Lucic - but Lucic really plays in a system that is perfect for him. . Boston really has the personnel for Julian's box in one d coverage and traps. Lucic thrives inside that system because it really limits his role in the D zone. Outside of a team not committed to that system, Lucic could become a liability. Minus similar personnel - such as Bergeron, Kreiji, Chara etc. I'm not so sure Lucic is so valuable outside that ecosystem. Boston really is a great team in the sense that everyone is committed to their roles. Lucic would be a fun player to have, but I don't see him thriving in just any system. Would I trade a top 5 pick for Lucic? Not if I had the opportunity to draft a Mckinnon, a Landeskog, Would I trade Yakupov? Yeah, probably.
  12. The habit never lasts long. It is really hard to get girls to show up for a smelling salt party.
  13. More than the scoring I just remember Craig Ramsay playing as if his life depended on it and a look of pure determination like the guy would have given a kidney to win that game.
  14. Vie dew vee half dew dew za same sing evaree Tuesday, Ghostee? Vie Kant you take Inga to laavlee deener?
  15. You must be just jealous.
  16. This was a much worse day for me than Briere and Drury leaving. Schoney and Danny didn't want to leave.
  17. Nut shot artists?
  18. Talking to people, many buy to enjoy some of their tickets and strategically sell some to recoup their costs. I don't see that changing. The market itself is pretty strong ----- Sometimes it is a sellers market, sometimes a buyers' market though. Either way, a lot of tickets are moved through the 2nd markets - though I have no idea how many take a loss on face value.
  19. Pantheistic hockey lines...... I want Vishnu the Destroyer on LW Odin at Center Cronus at RW Ganesh in Goal.
  20. Being a former defensemen, I suspect a checking line role is his upside. We'll see how he develops covering point in the penalty kill. I enjoyed what I saw from him.
  21. Some of those Habs-Nords games were absolute bloodbaths. Bench-clearing brawls that lasted days.
  22. I loved the old Nords-Sabres games most of all. Quebec was such a talented and feisty team with huge defensive lapses that made for wide open and combative hockey.
  23. That was a fun series. Ahhh, raping, pillaging, plunder, path of destruction. Good times.
  24. Is there anyone on the forum that is not renewing their season tickets? I'm just curious.
  25. Losing to Boston in 83. The Northstars series in 81 sticks out too. 81 was a great team that lost in a 5 game series in three straight...if I remember correctly.
