  1. Not quite all. Hodgson did have a pretty nice pass on the Grigo goal. Backhand pass tape to tape through three leafs on the rush.
  2. Drafting is just the raw material, development is equally important in that it maximizes your poor odds..
  3. Tons of luck involved in any successful draft. Some drafts you have better odds of hitting 31 Black in Roulette. Agree. Just disagree on the timetable.
  4. Just make sure it isn't a 3 pt game.
  5. But, secretly, we know, Tyler Myers IS one of those guys.
  6. COBRA-KAI !!!
  7. Fill in the Blanks without looking, next fill the quote, next copy and paste to see what Ted really said. 1. _____________ Emotion 2. _____________ Plural Noun 3. _____________ Noun 4. _____________ Place 5. _____________ Mild Expletive 6. _____________ A Sabres Player “We’ve been extremely, extremely ____1_________ with the approach and the attitude of the ____2.____,” Nolan said in First Niagara Center. “The ____3._____ in training camp has been tremendous. When that happens, you usually look in the _____4.__ at who the __5.________ are to lead that parade, and _____6._______ is one of those guys, for sure.”
  8. I gather now you are talking football ........mention EJ in hockey context and I'm thinking EJ McGuire or Hradek.
  9. The Music City Sausage.
  10. But what you left out is that 50% of the sale of each loaf ($2.65) is going to the national bakers union, so if you cut the price back to Ghost prices of $4.60, the bakers only get to share $2.30 per loaf and they'd get 14% less revenue because your bakery is already operating near capacity.
  11. Burgers and a little Kraft Dinner is your go to meal without much in the cupboard, but when the GMTM is buying filet mignon and finely aged Stanton cheese, we might need a new sous chef.
  12. I think he stays as long as the team overachieves. I'd put the over/under at 16 months.
  13. At least he's not a heart and cod guy.
  14. Put the bottle down, and back away slowly. I wish I could be as optimistic. I think 75 points would be a great season for this bunch, but even that is optimistic too IMO.
  15. You are reading a quid pro quo where there isn't one. Required is the language that Sabres must submit a plan. It doesn't guarantee any league check at all. (If you keep reading the contract). The original revenue shortfall is the revenue the Sabres have to collect through operations to share with players. You think the club can simply opt out and forego a tidy check. That's not how it works. They still need a plan whether they get a growth fund check or not.
  16. I guess the Sabres office is in Orchard Park. Well done fellas. Way to maintain interest in your product.
  17. My reasoning goes more like this, Gorges isn't in a second place category at all. He could captain any team in the NHL, IMO. Gionta will be a leader with a letter or not. He's 35 with a 3 year contract which takes him to 38. He's already a leader, so you don't have to give him a letter you might have to take away in a year or two if you need to cut his ice-time as age creeps in.
  18. I wouldn't be shocked. Gionta doesn't need a letter. He's that type of guy.
  19. I have a hunch Nolan will choose Gorges. Just a hunch.
  20. I think he gets his 9 games for coffee, gets sent down for juniors, and world juniors, called up for Amerks playoffs.
