Cheap and competent depth. He's not a world beater - but he plays a pretty safe game and skates well with his head up. Decent enough up-ice passer. No problem with him being the 8th or 9th guy.

I thought Rolston's use of Ennis was inexplicable at times. Nolan at least told the guy to just play his game of hockey. Ennis is kind of like the kid in a pick-up basketball that runs the entire court well, but he's not your first pick once it turns into a half-court, no blood no foul game.

Reflecting, I really like what I saw from Babtiste and Carrier. Carrier on the puck and stick skills - Babtiste with his ability to play at speed with the puck.

I hear you. I guess the Pierre Turgeon thing seems like yesterday to me. Turgeon was very good, he just wasn't the what everyone expected - the next #11. Easy does it with Samson. D camp scrimmage....he held his own with physical play and didn't get concussed. :)
