  1. I use to be one of "those people" and the pay mattered to me. If you offer better pay, you will attract more and better people. You can keep the hard workers and more easily replace the bad ones. In a full employment environment like we have now, they may be attracting first time job holders, people that have not worked in awhile or just semi-lazy people. Hirer wages could attract better people that have other employment opportunities.
  2. Jack looked nervous in opener, pucks hit his blade and rolled away. He played very well last night. I really like how they reacted when Rangers scored. From the face off the puck went deep into NY zone and stayed there awahile while the precious seconds ticked away. Then he put it away with blocked shot and open netter. He showed real leadership.
  3. How many times have the Sabres been beaten this way? Sure, good goaltending, but they didn't allow Rangers to gobble up rebounds, second chance opportunities, and the Sabres were opportunistic. Last year, this game would have ended in regulation 1-1 and gone to a shootout or something and we might just settle for a point. A win is a win and winning is contagious. Let's hope it spreads.
  4. No one seems to ever do that, though. I agree, a few seconds away from the play or a player without a stick for extended time? I think they should just skate hard and get new stick.
  5. That was beautiful pass. Samson in general has really impressed me. He is making moves that buy him space and time in tight areas. I think he is going to have a good season here.
  6. So Elie gets claimed off waivers and plays pk pp and now is on the top line? Says a lot about the players we have on roster
  7. Lol, I was thinking that right after I posted it! And that Elie looks good
  8. Beaulieu having a good first period. Most of the defense is playing well
  9. Put it up on the chalk board next time we play him
  10. I know, but when one rebuild fails, what do you do? Start over. I just hope we don't get trigger happy and trade away assests. Jack might never be Crosby, but in a few years he will be one of the top players in the league. Hopefully surrounded by others that are highly talented. That Boston team was older, they were a team with chemistry and talent. That takes time to get there. Me and you you are still here. After all these years of losing. I hope the team leaders just realize that we are probably never leaving. So they need to realize that and just take a long term approach, slowly keep adding talent and hope that adds up to a great team in four or five years.
  11. Young team, patience is needed. I mean a few years of patience. This is a long term project. I hate saying that, but it's just true.
  12. I just caught a few minutes of GR today and the big topic that they made out to be was an arena wide problem with the food and drink sales. They said all the calls to their show were horror stories about this giant mess where no one knew what to sell, or how to operate machines, a health code violation shut down something, long lines etc. Thought there would be a thread about it already. Anyone go to the game and know what this was about??
  13. Next five games? Well, I would put it at next nine. I just have this feeling they are going really lose badly in these home games and then go on the road trip and win a few. That would be just like them to do that. I agree to a point, but not scoring a goal is a really bad sign, IMO.
  14. They just look stronger than us. We get knocked down every time
  15. Bruins playing like they got beat bad last night
