  1. Yes, that's why I still have hope for UPL. First year carrying the load in NHL isn't easy. Hopefully he learned how better to prepare, stay focused and move on from disappointment.
  2. I feel a little better about the goaltending situation after watching that interview. I think he will be good, but he also seems like a person that will help make UPL and Levi better pros. Here's hoping!
  3. Seems like part of an interview. Not sure what he is talking about with books, but he seems intense Here is a link with the full interview
  4. Gilbert was not good at playing defense though
  5. I consider the sixth d-man an important position. If he gets run over, your team loses.
  6. And without him isn't there a glaring hole in it? Who would be our sixth d-man? Bryson? 😩
  7. He did not handle being the number 1 goalie very well, that's for sure. Would be nice if him and Levi could somehow split the duties and provide some consistency

  9. He said in the pre-draft press conference that there were also several RHD in the system already. So looks like that is covered. Bringing in these defenceman makes its seem obvious he is trading Bo
  10. Timmins averaged 18:43 in ice time – well above his career average of 15:46 – in 17 games following a March trade to Pittsburgh. He had seven points (1+6) in that span and the Penguins owned a 57-percent share of shot attempts with him on the ice at 5-on-5. A native of of St. Catharines, Ont. – about 30 miles north of Buffalo – Timmins was a second-round draft pick (32nd overall) by Colorado in 2017. He’s played 159 NHL games spanning six seasons with Colorado, Arizona, Toronto and Pittsburgh. Belliveau, 22, split last season between Pittsburgh’s AHL and ECHL affiliates. The 2021 fifth-round pick has seven points (1+6) in 24 career AHL games.
  11. Absolutely nothing. It was a joke Timmins, 26, had 15 points (3+12) in 68 games last season with Toronto and Pittsburgh. The 6-foot-3, 213-pound defenseman is the second right shot added to the roster via trade in the past week, following the addition of Michael Kesselring from Utah on Thursday. (The Sabres also used their first-round draft pick on a right-shot defenseman in Radim Mrtka.) During Timmins' 5-on-5 ice time in 2024-25, his teams outscored their opponents 39-30 and held advantages in expected goals (52.2%), shot attempts (51.6%) and scoring chances (51.9%), according to Natural Stat Trick.
  12. He doesn't really check any of the boxes making us harder to play against and better on defense
  13. I think it just comes down to the "we need to be harder to play against" and not give up as many goals.
  14. Chara had a really long development curve. He wasn't the Chara that was great for a lot of years
  15. Good point. I'll just toss this out, but from the accounts we have, maybe JJP was kind of immature, so while, perhaps, we didn't get older, maybe we got more of character players in the trade. But ya, another vet probably would be a good idea
  16. KA is celebrating this landslide victory for his trade! He's touting this as proof of his superior leadership and hockey acumen! LOL
