    What the hell is "the lockout excuse?" I've seen this said several times (not by just you) and I'm baffled by it. Every team was affected (while fans were afflicted) by the lockout, so it's not an excuse. Sabres will win in glorious fashion. 9-1. Vanek with the ovechtrick.

    I have to say, I absolutely hate the way a lot of people on this board talk about Terry Pegula. We know next to nothing about how he runs the team and what his plan is, and everybody acts like they have a psych evaluation on the guy. He is a deep pocketed owner committed to winning, and that's a f*cking blessing.

    Lindy gave Myers and Leopold the least amount of ice time of any of the D pairings by a large margin, so that was the right move.

    I can't get myself angry at that plaque. It's just plain and simple Boston douchebaggery, and they want it to bother us. Just makes me laugh, which is especially easy to do after a win. :beer:

    A Cadillac and VIP box, huh? That's hard to compete with. My first class got cancelled this morning, so I'm still home. I'm heading up to Cornell for the weekend to stay with my girl. Still pretty F'N fantastic.

    I remember Ink saying (from watching Amerks games) that Hodgson makes players around him better without it being obvious. Hodgson is a good center and does the right things away from the puck. He's not bad with the puck, either. Less.

    Good post. Yeah, you're right. Just because somebody's a vet, that means they never make mistakes or have to watch tape to correct their game. :rolleyes: Myers is still young and defense is a hard position to learn. I still think he can turn it around and be the defenseman we all want him to be, but it seems much less likely now.

    Great. We can trade Leopold and Luke Adam for a fourth round pick. Neither of these guys have much trade value right now. EDIT: Leopold may actually have some (albeit disappearing quickly)... But Adam certainly does not.

    I think Myers should play with Sekera. Sekera's probably our best shutdown defenseman right now.

    He definitely didn't play well in the first four games at all, but his last two games have been light years better. If he can keep going at this clip, we'll be able to stop worrying about him in general.
