I wasn't addressing your tax concern, which is legit. Just throwing out the common argument against the NCAA.

Playing devil's advocate, the huge sports schools that make millions off sports are basically exploiting their student athletes for free labor in a multi-billion dollar industry.

This is why it's sad that he's not going to get a fair shot with this organization. I hope he can put it together with whomever we trade him to.

If I was a player, I'd probably be well versed in ignoring the media by now. And honestly, by the beginning of next season after a summer full of acquisitions most players will have forgotten the entire thing, even if it enraged them at first.

Why don't we talk about it now, and then for the rest of the season, and then the offseason because that's what we do: talk way too much about the same things :)

I think it's totally reasonable to question the tone Tim uses with the media. I don't think that it will have any effect on the players long term.

I think this was a case of Murray being his literal, grumpy, mad hockey scientist self. He knows that with another top 3 pick next year, he could really build a special team. Next year, the rest of us would take a youngin-led playoff team with a first round exit and be very happy. TM would rather have a top 3 pick, so he says so. I would be shocked if he used "roster manipulation" to get it done, though. He already traded for Kane, he wants to be better next year. He just sees the world differently than we do.

He'll figure it out. Especially with Risto to help, who has much more sound positioning. I'd keep Zadorov with the big club and let him take his lumps at the NHL level.

The Eagles flipped McCoy for Kiko and got Murray for nothing. Seems like a good exchange for them. We'll have to see how absurd Murray's contract is.

Scotty did his best. And overperformed for a practice squad TE. I liked him, always will. Even with the drops.

I'm really busy these days, so I have trouble fitting in any free time activities. In the past I would still keep up with Sabres games by losing sleep and watching the recordings, now I fast forward through on the most part, or forget to record the games altogether.
