Not for me, any of the top 3 will be amazing. The reality is that even drafting 4th or by miracle 5 (having to pass Vancouver), that player will be just as important as mittelstadt .

IMO, his 2 wingers for the future aren't currently on the Sabres roster.

think thats pretty amazing when considering the team he plays for.

1) I can't believe we are still talking about the 2015 season. the Tank worked, we got our two best players, the re-build has failed to this point but there is still hope as the prospects that we actually did draft from 2015-2017 are getting closer to being NHL ready 2) what exactly did the Sabres blow up? the team was mediocre at best in 2012 to 2013 and wasn't going anywhere. All players traded were on expiring contracts and their time was up in Buffalo. Can you look back and say "wow, i can't believe we traded that guy!" not one guy who was traded away amounted to anything, most are already out of the league or on their 2nd team since leaving Buffalo. 3) what are you basing Jack isn't good enough? are you the same people that said Reinhart is a bust? probably saying Nylander is a bust as well. Sometimes, it pays to be patient...Except when waiting on the Mittlestadt decision! please let today be the day we find out, one way or the other. how much more exciting is it to be a Hurricane fan? team continually drafts around 10th and is stuck.

If I knew Nylander was going to be a success at the NHL level, I would think Tkachuk is exactly the type of player they need to create space for the skilled players. Since Nylander is still very much a wild card, I can get on board with placing Wahlstrom ahead of Tkachuk. How much longer to the lottery?

I do, as long as you also add Mittelstadt, svechnikov/zadina or Tkachuk. Then you add Guhle / Nelson and better goaltending - I would bet on a 20 point improvement

believe me, 11 is the reason why I'm a Sabres fan living near Toronto. Jack is just as exciting, he just doesn't have the line-mates and doesnt get to shoot against 5'8 goalies with very little padding.

i can't wait until tomorrow! even if we knew he was coming out and deciding to go the Rochester or Buffalo route. If he doesn't come out and the Sabres don't get a top 4 pick, just wake up me up prior to the 2019 lottery!

Someone interviewed Keller before last nights game and he said that playing a few games in the NHL was extremely valuable to him going into the off-season. Plus Mittelstadt having a few extra weeks to condition himself for next year may benefit him more than playing in the AHL play-offs. him play for the Amerks but i think they will do very well with or without him, once they get their players back.

I dont think there is any tension, Sabres just waiting for him to make his decision. Wish he would make it soon, getting tired of looking at twitter every 2 mins.

From Minnesota Star Tribune The Gophers have another prominent player who is a risk to leave early: freshman forward Casey Mittelstadt. The eighth overall pick in the 2017 draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Mittelstadt finished second on the Gophers with 30 points on 11 goals and 19 assists in 34 games. The former Eden Prairie High School standout was named MVP of the World Junior Championship after amassing a tournament-high 11 points (four goals, seven assists). Mittelstadt declined to comment Wednesday on his status.
