Definitely agree. Have to hope Ullmark improves next year or that UPL can do a great Carter Hart impression in his first Pro Year. If they draft Knight, have to think it’s a pretty good chance he or UPL will work out.

Pretty confident that Jack Hughes or Kakko would be a way bigger addition than any confidence gained by winning a few meaningless games. Wonder what Eichel would prefer, a couple of more wins or a team-mate that can add some secondary scoring next season?

The GM definitely does not need to go. he said he was going to build from Rochester up and it's exactly what is happening. The ROR trade looks bad in hindsight but at the time it looked like a decent trade. still could turn out ok if he gets a good draft pick this year, TT improves and they use the money they saved from paying ROR on a decent 2C this summer We all know the 3 things that killed this team 1) lack of secondary scoring 2) Coaching - line deployment 3) Goaltending No doubt 1 & 2 get improved for next season. I'm still a little nervous about 3 being better as we will see the same combo again next year. And yes we should root for the Sabres to lose out or do as badly as needed for them to change me in 6th last. That will give them basically a 1 in 4 chance to get into the top 3 Even at 6 or 7, they will get a highly skilled forward that this team sorely needs

EP is no longer a prospect. EP is so beloved in Vancouver, I think they would burn the city down if they traded him.

Dont think anyone has anyone in the prospect pipeline that would compare to either Hughes or Kakko.

I definitely would only trade Risto for a legit top 6 forward. Im not in the "just get rid of him" camp at all.

100% agree. With all the heat directed at Risto/ Scandella and secondary scoring, the biggest issue may have been missed.

Time to move on to 19/20. JB should start now - no more Pominville, Scandella and whoever else won’t be around next year. Lets bring up Olofsson, Smith, Borgen, Nylander and Smith for a few games at a time for each of them. When they do come up, let them play significant minutes. If Phil keeps on playing the vets - pull the plug now.

Im a big fan of Risto when he plays with aggression but that's not nearly often enough. Hopefully they can get a big time forward in return.
