completely agree, so why not add one by getting the best pick possible? there is nothing to be gained by winning out in the last 9 games. And like Radar, I completely understand the frustration. its not where I wanted them to be this year.

I would think the more "good" players you add the better the team would be. Would you disagree with that? of course everything is about next year when there are only 9 games to go and you are completely out of it.

Pretty good. Got them 3 of their 4 best players. This team isn't crap because of Reinhart, Eichel, Dahlin and Skinner. Its crap because they don't have much else. A top pick this year (with some luck with the lottery balls) will most likely another "core" piece.

Time to win left the barn a month ago. It’s not about this year. It’s about next year and the years after. We need more guys that have skill and the ability to hold onto then puck for more than 2 seconds. These guys are found at the top of the draft. Let’s lose out and get the best puck possible

Not to start an argument BUT Would the Sabres be better off if they “learnt to win”the last 9 games of last season, taking them out of last place? Or are they better off now because they have Dahlin who by all indications is going to be a stud Dman for the next 12 years?

I’m saying this is the most embarrassing game of the season. Leafs coming in after playing night before in another time zone. Sparks in net. Leafs losers of 4 of last 5 your home building filled with leaf fans and you get out shot 43 to 16?

Definitely agree. Have to hope Ullmark improves next year or that UPL can do a great Carter Hart impression in his first Pro Year. If they draft Knight, have to think it’s a pretty good chance he or UPL will work out.

Pretty confident that Jack Hughes or Kakko would be a way bigger addition than any confidence gained by winning a few meaningless games. Wonder what Eichel would prefer, a couple of more wins or a team-mate that can add some secondary scoring next season?

The GM definitely does not need to go. he said he was going to build from Rochester up and it's exactly what is happening. The ROR trade looks bad in hindsight but at the time it looked like a decent trade. still could turn out ok if he gets a good draft pick this year, TT improves and they use the money they saved from paying ROR on a decent 2C this summer We all know the 3 things that killed this team 1) lack of secondary scoring 2) Coaching - line deployment 3) Goaltending No doubt 1 & 2 get improved for next season. I'm still a little nervous about 3 being better as we will see the same combo again next year. And yes we should root for the Sabres to lose out or do as badly as needed for them to change me in 6th last. That will give them basically a 1 in 4 chance to get into the top 3 Even at 6 or 7, they will get a highly skilled forward that this team sorely needs
