He’s looking 3 years out when he can’t afford Chychrun any longer with the 23 first they could get a guy like Simashev who could be ready to contribute in 25/26 when Chychrun walks away as a UFA im still holding on hope he has at least 1 move for a bonafide 6th Dman Measurable progress? You can just look at the standings and see that there is substantial progress this season

I really think being in the race in March / April was the goal all along and they’ve been successful making the playoffs would be a bonus to adams but not worth changing course of his “plan” I still hate the fact they didn’t land Chychrun and my blood boils whenever I see #78 on the ice BUT I’ll put that all aside for this season, as I still have lots of faith in Adams

Chychrun is signed for 2 more years. He would have improved the team immediately. I get he isn’t a perfect fit for them and probably would be gone when his contract is up

what can the Sabres do now? Is there an acquisition out there still that would get you excited? i still want them to bring in another Dman wondering if a goalie would move the needle? Demko perhaps?

I guess we are going home with the girl who we took to the dance. unless they get Seattle to trade away a Dman , I don’t see who else is out there a Chychrun trade would have given the fan base a good jolt of energy still shaking my head that he couldn’t get a deal done

Terrible miss by Adams. Maybe the sens ‘23 first is slightly more valuable than the Sabres ?? I don’t understand it. Not a divisional opponent just got much stronger.

I wonder how important it is to Adams to make the playoffs? Obviously they would be HUGE underdogs vs either Boston or Carolina Maybe he doesn’t want to make any move that depletes any of his relevant prospect pook (sorry bloom), when he figures making the playoffs only adds 4 or 5 games onto their season

The main suitors for Chychrun (Edm and La) are now gone. This should leave a clear path for the Sabres, as long as ARI comes over their ridiculous trade price

I came across this post from a leafs fan on FB such a typlcal fan of them “Ive never seen a man take a team and essentially build a power house. Wow the remaining schedule looks daunting! 5 games left against teams not in or battling for playoffs after tonight’s debacle, maybe not such a bad thing?
