  1. Easy solution to buy more time is to fire Adams but Pegula seems unwilling. He's gotta pay for all those stadium overruns.
  2. I think he means winning and being a legitimate team. Don't think I don't view what you said as possible, in fact your conclusion is the logical one. Dahlin just hasn't gotten there, yet. Adams needs to be aggressive to fix the rosters shortcomings this summer or by next year's trade deadline, Dahlin's tune very well might change.
  3. I mean, if you ignore the rest of what he said, sure. “I’ve never said I want out of here. I’m not happy with where we’re at and I don’t want to lose. We have to get better, but I never said I want out of here. I thought that was pretty clear. That bugs me. I get pissed off by that. I haven’t even mentioned the word leave. That’s just how it is.” "“We have to do a lot of stuff,” Dahlin said. “It takes everyday work. You have to do hard work every day. We had a really good discussion. We were very honest with each other. Stuff has to change. That’s how it is. I absolutely hate losing. I don’t think that’s a part of who I want to be. Stuff has to change." “I’m part of it. I haven’t been good enough. We haven’t won games. I take responsibility, too. Stuff has to change. That’s the bottom line.” - Rasmus Dahlin Quick question, remind me again when the 13 game losing streak that ended the season occurred and where Rasmus Dahlin was? I keep forgetting.
  4. Sure but Thompson had only played 1 full season at that point. His 2020 and 2021 seasons were cut short. He had totaled only 145 games before his breakout season in 21/22. Dylan Cozens has played 341 games for Buffalo before his trade. Cozens has played 57.5% more games to this point. I think Cozens could get better but I don't think Thompson is a good comparison. Tage got traded, got injured, dealt with a Covid season, then exploded. Cozens has pretty much played a rookie year (covid year) and then 3 full years and is finishing his 4th. He might be better in Ottawa, that's true, but I don't think he's gonna sustain a 25% shooting percentage.
  5. This is why I hate Pronman. Anton Frondell has a shot rated as "high end" but Michael Misa has a shot that is idk because Pronman doesn't give it a grade ... wtf are we even doing here? Also... "Aitcheson won't run a power play, lacking the natural sense at times with the puck, but he projects to have secondary NHL offense and has put up significant offense this year" then why the ***** are you ranking him 9th? Also you ranked his shot, but not 57goals Michael Misa. OMFG, Carter Bear "Compete: Above Average" if Bear's compete is above average than average must be the 4 nations final.
  6. Well... that's interesting. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6174550/2025/03/11/nhl-draft-2025-ranking-schaefer-misa-pronman/ Matthew Schaefer, 6'2" LHD Michael Misa, 6'1" C/LW Caleb Desnoyers, 6'1.5" C James Hagens, 5'10.5" C Porter Martone, 6'2.75" RW Anton Frondell, 6'1" C Victor Eklund, 5'11" RW Roger McQueen, 6'5.25" C Kashawn Aitcheson, 6'1.5" LHD Jake O'Brien, 6'1.75" C
  7. I dont remember the game but there was a F-14 simulator that ran on Windows 95 that I can still hear the sound effects for.
  8. Cozens is shooting at 25% currently. If that keeps up, he'd be better than Sam Reinhart, which I doubt. This place can't spell Reinhart correctly.
  9. Steve Bernier was traded to Buffalo at the 2008 deadline. In his first game with Buffalo, he scored 2g and 1a. People were freaking out that he was going to be the greatest thing since Betty White. He had 1g and 5a over his next 16 games with Buffalo and went to Vancouver in the offseason.
  10. I think we are disagreeing a bit. Your suggestion is that Benson needs to shoot more and be a better shooter. I sorta agree but he's a decent shooter (about average) and his ability to get pucks out of his own zone and into the offensive zone is amazing. Keep in mind, his numbers have almost no PP time either. 3 pp pts this season in limited minutes. I wish shot assists were better tracked because that is where Benson is going to excel, he's certainly not there yet and needs to get better though. I would agree there.
  11. Shot percentages: Benson, 10.3% Kulich, 11.9% Krebs, 8.6% Quinn, 10.3% xGF% Benson, 50.41% Kulich, 46.52% Krebs, 45.09% Quinn, 42.68%
  12. You are ignoring his ability to score goals with his ability to prevent them. On top of that scoring goals is one thing, creating offense is another. Benson creates offense and the numbers show that and his play shows that. On top of that, he's one of the best defensive forwards on the team. Sure, he needs to get better, but he's already a top 9 forward and he's better than Kulich. He just doesn't have a sexy shot that makes people go "ooooo". xGF% is math. Your expected goals for divided by your expected goals again and made into a percentage. If Benson sucks so much as shooting and needs to shoot more etc... that would mean that having a positive xGF% for him, equates to being elite defensively to counter balance his lack of scoring.
  13. Only one with a + xgf% is Benson.
  14. Samuelsson needs to go. Byram needs to go. Quinn, I'd give him a bridge and it won't be high.
  15. House passes funding bill with billions of cuts. US on brink of massive recession with Trumps tariff war destroying the economy. Elon Musk sees wealth drop as Tesla stock plummets while he plays Shadow President. And that was just this week.
  16. No point, after you hit 6, it's a pick your poison type of deal. Bear, Desnoyers, Eklund, Lakovic, Cootes, Frondell, I suppose Schmidt. There's some defenders in Reid, Smith, Mrtka. I'd be hard pressed to mock them in an order. If I had to rank the forwards... ummm... Desnoyers, Bear, Eklund in a group that I could interchange followed by Cootes, Frondell, Lakovic, and Schmidt I suppose.
  17. We could just sign Sam, isn't he a ufa?
