Wahlberg won't be 19 until July. Something to keep in mind when thinking about him and his skills. Östlund for contrast is 1yr 4months older.

I firmly believe Buffalo needs a coaching change. Both assistants and Granato need to be relived and a better coach brought in. Brind'Amour would be my first choice. If Adams goes into the 24 season with Adams and both assistants, it not only proves he lacks the ability to lead but that he lacks the courage to make difficult choices.

Big, young, needs refinement. Fast and physical, did okay in the SHL as an 18yr old. Needs probably 2-3 years in Rochester but middle six potential.

You made a claim that their d was young and big and solid compared to Buffalo. So we should compare the young def and see if they're solid and big. You specifically mentioned big twice. Yet, Buffalo is very comparable in terms of size while being younger.

Who are they? When were they drafted? How do they compare to Buffalo's 2nd and 3rd round Defense additions. I asked because the Flyers have drafted 2 1st round defender since 2016. Cam York 6' 194lbs and Oliver Bonk 6'2" 176lbs I like Sotheran and Attard but I don't see many other defenders in their pool that are interesting. Ginning and Attard are the only ones on the current roster who are young and "big". So again, who are their 1. Big, 2. Solid. and 3. Young defenders?

Pronman is a source of draft stuff... that is true. His rating of Demidov is utterly bizarre. Putting Silayev at #2 is a thing you could do, you shouldn't but you could. Good news for Sabres' fans is Lidstrom is 8th here and while I think there is almost 0 chance he slides to 8th that would be where Buffalo could grab the physical and talented center. Not that anyone cares but here's my top 5 Mack Celebrini, he's the #1 guy and that's a lock for me. He's scoring in the NCAA at absurd rates for his age. Won't be 18 until mid June. Ivan Demidov, he's probably the #2 guy, his scoring and skill are just insane although I think he will need a little time to translate to NA Artyom Levshunov, you want a big RHD that is physical but skilled enough to run your PP2? Here you go. Perfect 2/3 defender on any team. Cayden Lindstrom, he's big mean and I think has more offense than he gets credit for. While Catton has more skill, I think Lindstrom's N/S game translates better. Berkley Catton, lots of skill and will probably be this year's Benson in that he will slide. He's really good though but at 5'11", I bet Sabres fans dismiss him. I find the 3 defenders (Parekh, Dickson, and Silayev) outside my top 5 as I think all 3 have big holes in their games that bother me enough.
