Sabres Draft Pick #123: Simon-Pier Brunet, 6'2" RHD

Scouting reports all say yes physical. Good skater that uses his body and stick to end plays. -
Sabres Draft Pick #123: Simon-Pier Brunet, 6'2" RHD
LGR4GM replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
"Brunet motors up and down the ice with a sound skating posture for a player of his 6-foot-2 size. With his skating and reach, he denies space from the opposition, closes on them in transition, and guards the front of the net. Attackers can’t go through him. He walls them off from high-danger areas. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide" https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/660791/simon-pier-brunet -
Sabres Draft Pick #123: Simon-Pier Brunet, 6'2" RHD

What's interesting about him is that he played on the same team as Komarov, so Buffalo probably got lots of looks at him. -
Defender 6'2" 196lb RHD

2ish per draft, well 2.3 really.
-
They could. Could sign them after 3 years to help avoid that. CHL guys you only get 2 years, it's why botteril went all dumbass on never taken them.

Sabres Draft #14: Konsta Helenius, 5'11" 189lb Center

He could. *ducks -
Take 60-70% of the pipeline, they won't matter in the NHL. Some will hit but a good portion like Kisakov will never make it.

Sabres acquire Forward Beck Malenstvn for 43rd Overall
LGR4GM replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Fine fine. I don't hate it. I don't love it but this team desperately needs more hardest working. -
That's why they are drafting college guys. Gives them 4yrs before they need to sign them.
-
Basically from the 4th round on, all picks have almost the same value. I know that seems strange and it is but it also is how it is.
-
Also Osburne is a Sept 9 birthday. He's 6 days short of the 2025 draft so he's got lots of runway. I like the pick because of the upside and age part coupled with an already solid skater. Yes. Kleber and Strbak were both round 2 guys the last 2 years and are rhd. Komarov is in Rochester this year. McCarthy, college 3rd round pick last year. None are shorter than 6'3" either.
-
Because Strbak, Komarov, Kleber, and McCarthy are all rhd.

Clearly so would the Sabres. -
At least 2 years in college
-
Difference is, in all those trades, adams had the player of value and go set price and wait. Here he has to acquire but being proactive.
-
Jiri Kulich was 5'11" when drafted, he's 6'1" now. Not all players will grow but several will be 1-2 inches taller by the time they matter.
-
He's 196lbs. Are you ppl mental? What a guy is 1" below 6ft and is just immediately small? Wtf.
-
He's a 5'11" 196lb player that needs improved skating and hands. Great instincts with the puck and lots of good checking and physical details. He's probably a 3rd line guy if he makes it.
