Stafford's contract is up in 2 years, he's not a buyout candidate unless you think we're going to be competing for a cup by then. on Leino, I agree, hold on to one of the buyouts till next summer to give him a chance to show what he can do in a full season. He was good in the few games he played this year (6 points in 8 games), but if last years leino shows up, you buy him out. On the other hand, his buyout cap hit for a traditional buyout is between $1-2M if we do it next summer, which isn't too bad if you got some good return using an amnesty on someone else.

Black did an incredible, and planned IMO, job of making that presser about him and TBN.

I think Darcy meant his team, the people who work for him, scouts and coaches. Pegula shows up when the presser is about him (He is announced as owner, He gives Darcy an Extension, He funds Harbor Center) and not when it's not about him. Nothing about this season was about him directly. I definitely got that vibe. at least next year.
