I think the most likely way the Sabres make the playoffs is if Columbus implodes AND the Sabres get Panarin. We know Panarin is not coming here and I really think Carolina will end up getting the 8 spot when all is said and done.

I am right there with ya brother but I'm hoping to make it to 60 quite easily.....and then some I want 10th straight years being in the playoffs and having a chance rather than giving it all up right now and going for it all in the next two to three It's really hard to believe how badly they messed up the last month but I guess in two years, we won't have to worry about any of it.....hopefully Next year they will be fighting for a wild-card spot all year long and then the following year, we can only hope they make it in the top three

This is probably what Toronto will do to make the cup in the next two to three years. Buffalo has been bad for so long that I would rather keep all of our first rounders and make a few b-level trades and stay competitive for the next 10 years. I'm not even looking at the Stanley Cup right now, I just want to be going to some goddamn playoff games for once in the last decade

The reality is that the Sabres are one of the top 5 worst teams in the league. They don't need to lose 10 in a row, they'll do plenty of losing between now and the end of the season regardless

Well I hate to break it to you but this team is not going to win now. They need players and they need really good players as in the top of the draft players

I am fine dropping a hell of a lot lower than 10th. This team needs to string together 10 losses in a row to make this season worth it again

Eh, as expected. Unless our goalies can steal games like they did earlier in the year, I don't see this team winning two in a row the rest of the year.

They are what they are....and that's definitely not a team that can string wins together anymore. Catching Montreal is a pipedream if Buffalo can't even win games like this. Looking to be just another wasted year of Eichel.

I went to bed after the second. Because I absolutely could not risk being in a terrible mood and having to get up so early. Want an unbelievable relief it is to read but they won in overtime!

It's so funny that other teams play better when we're on our power play. Should be interesting with Skinner gone for the rest of the game...

3-0 after first Flames....but Buffalo has over 10 shots in the 2nd period alone, so that is good. Housley has mostly 3rd and 4th liners on the ice for the last 10 minutes of the 3rd as Eichel breaks his stick leaving the ice after a 5-2 beat-down.

I have spent more time and $$ on this crap team over the last 5 years (and plenty before) than I care to admit. That 10 game streak got me out of my slump but as far as being negative, I am right back there myself. I wish that streak would have never happened because it is beyond pathetic that Buffalo can still be this bad, this many years later. That Oilers game just shows that the leadership on this team is totally lacking. It's a bunch of guys with a loser mentality and knowing that, fans can be as negative and critical as they want.

My God the difference in those lineups is super scary. The more and more I look at our garbage lineup, the more surprised I am that we are only 5 points out of 8th. Our team has a couple seasons to go in order to enter the playoff conversation again, that is for sure.

I like the positivity but I think we all know that the chances a buffalo climbing back in the top 8 for the rest of the season is not going to happen
