  1. Fair.
  2. I read it the same way nfreeman did. You expounded on a specific word that Eichel used, that in the very particular area he grew up in that word has a negative racial connotation. I don't see any other way it could be taken. What was the purpose of you sharing your opinion if it wasn't that?
  3. But Nylander looked a helluva lot better than you hoped ?
  4. Doesn't everybody? If you had the power to negotiate a higher salary you would. So would I. So would anyone. It's human nature.
  5. You're correct, I've never been to a Nascar race. It's not meant to be offensive, I'm just sharing my opinion on a current and relevant topic. This is where a mod asked me to do it. I've attacked no one personally. Feel free to disagree with my opinion, but your disagreement doesn't mean I violated the rules of the forum. There is no pattern, you're being intentionally obtuse.
  6. When we start seeing religious ceremonies at sporting events than you might have a point worth considering. To my recollection this is the one subject where I've expressed such an opinion. More bluntly, you're full of schit, and you know it. It's my opinion. Not right or wrong, just mine. I felt like sharing.
  7. I don't get ruffled up at all. As I said, I just don't understand it. But I do have an opinion on what type of a man would be made to feel"uncomfortable" in the presence of a servicemember being honored. If you're that type of man it might benefit you to do some deep reflecting on who and what type of man you are. I don't understand why we do it either, but it's become an acceptable norm in our society. No man should feel uncomfortable being in the presence of it during a sporting event.
  8. Like many other board members, I've never understood why we do this. It doesn't make sense to me. I don't know when or how it started. As a retired soldier, I would feel incredibly uncomfortable being out there on the ice/field and politely decline the invitation when offered to me. But to care enough to have a negative feeling about it? I don't understand that either. Personally, if you're someone who feels "uncomfortable" when someone is being honored I think it speaks volumes about your lack of character as a man. At least you are self aware enough to know you're an inferior man and you feel accordingly. Perhaps it's better to keep those feelings to yourself and not expose yourself as the weak, pathetic inferior man that you are.
  9. You poor baby ?
  10. Brown is legitimately the top point producer in a PPR league, you can't expect to get him for nothing.
  11. Good job picking up Connor, I didn't notice that before. Off the top of my head I'm thinking Brown, Sefarin-Jenkins, Murray for Smith-Shuster, Kelce, Bell. Bell is a huge risk, I think there's a real chance he sits the whole ten weeks.
  12. Let me look at your roster
  13. I have not. Is he beastly?
  14. Wildcard, how long are you willing to cross your fingers with Bell?
  15. I wish Nylander and Mittelstadt were paired together.
  16. I think this is exactly right, and I'm completely on board with it.
  17. I dig a grave in the back yard. The boys come over and we bury the dog with his favorite toys and I plant a tree with them. I find the process of digging the grave cathartic (not positive that's the right word but I hope you get me meaning). I always break down and cry as I'm digging. When I sit on the back deck and look out at the trees I'm flooded with fond memories and I'll never forget them. Losing my dogs have been the hardest experiences in my life. I pray I never have to bury a kid. In my experience getting a puppy helps with the grief. It sucks. I feel for you. I hope you are able to get through it relatively painlessly. Good luck.
  18. I think this is it in a nutshell.
  19. I'm sure you were just as optimistic going into last season.
  20. First thing I thought of when I read that was Colin Cowherd.
  21. I agree, he has a very limited arm. I think Daboll will shelter him and not ask him to make throws that he can't. I think going to a blocking scheme that allowed the running game to be more successful like it was a couple years ago will give him an extra .5-1.5 seconds to throw on play action. I think the Ravens beatable. I think the Chargers are a better team. But, I think home field matters in the NFL. I think west coast teams playing at 10am on thier internal clock matters. I think having something to prove after last years Chargers game will matter. I think the Bills can start 2-0, and if they do, I think they can make the playoffs. Well that's not helpful at all.
  22. Can anyone name an instance where Nate Peterman has shown himself mentally weak. I admit it. I'm biased. I like him. I don't see it. But if it's there, I WANT to see it. Can anyone help me see it?
  23. Does his signing with an OHL team affect how many years the Sabres have his rights?
  24. You don't have a RB worth Brown, sorry.
