Random thoughts... Sulzer has been solid. Don't know if it as simple as being able to communicate in their native language but him and erhoff have been money. Scott and Ellis are averaging 2/4 minutes per game respectively, I wonder who will lose ice time when Gerbe and lieno are healthy. Hoping the overall team toughness lasts. Glad to see Hecht back and healthy, huge addition so far. Grigs looks responsible in his own end, I believe this is more important than him scoring for ruff to keep him. Speaking of ruff, much to most people's surprise he is not shuffling lines. Surprised to see that three defensemen had over 20 minutes and not one of them was Myers. Very happy/impressed with our young centers. The Ott addition has been bigger than we could have imagined regarding team toughness. Notice the lack of certain posters when the team seams to be playing well/winning? Thier silence speaks volumes. Happy belated 43rd.

No, I am not kidding. I've been on funeral details where there were protesters, but have no clue what they were doing there. I was in uniform and stayed away from them. I have friends that have gone to funerals for thier buddies over the years (I never go unless I'm on the detail, don't like funerals) that have seen these people, one of them got caught up in it and was sued. I know it happens, just curious if you personally know one of your counterparts who do it.

I don't know anything about westboro and won't say they do this, but I've heard of lawyers protesting military funerals in the hopes of a grieving loved one snapping and physically assaulting them while thier buddy videotapes it so they can sue. Any of our lawyers on the board heard of your colleagues doing this?

No doubt. But, big picture, the important thing to me is the long term growth and financial stability of the league. I'd rather lose a season, or even two if it means we get that then have the owners cave just because I want to see hockey.

I own a home in Clarksville, TN, population about 130,000 and growing rapidly, this is where I will retire and it is about 40 minutes NW of Nashville. If the Preds owner decided to put an AHL/ECHL team in my city and wanted an arena built, I would happily vote yes to have funded through an increase in property tax.
