  1. With the way the team is playing 21-14 seems totally reasonable. Hoping we can take this mini-bye to get Cozens and Mule going then take it to Carolina before the break.
  2. Watkins is bonkers. He’s a flat-earther and thinks that lizard people run the government.
  3. I get it, we all want a goalie who can carry the team if need be. But this game is just terrible one rip on UPL. The guy played lights out.
  4. I don’t know man. There were minutes of this game where I was shocked we didn’t give up a goal. One easy goal where UPL got caught out of position. But the guy had a great overall game. A fluky shoot out goal prevented us from getting a final go.
  5. Tage is like a church bell choir. I don’t know if there’s another player I’ve ever seen ring them off the post/crossbar so often.
  6. Same. I haven’t missed a game in a month or more now. I’ve been frustrated with the Bills for 2-3 months, they made the game look so hard. The Sabres have been the more entertaining franchise for a while now. I left Buffalo circa 2019 and live in the capital region now. We fly a Bills flag all year and so does my neighbor 4 doors down. On the same day we took down our Bills flags and put up the same exact Sabres flag. Neither of us have flown a Sabres flag in 3-4 years.
  7. Marty legit saying that stat is wrong. He has Krebs with 2-3 alone and he’s credited with zero.
  8. Well Schitts Creek. Now I don’t know if you’re trolling. I’ll just open another beer.
  9. At the risk of providing too much speculation, I have to wonder if this is something more than the "stroke" that was floated months ago. Strokes are a big deal so I don't mean to diminish that, but it also feels like something that isn't a big deal to go "Kim Pegula had a stroke". I have to wonder if either A) it is something more insidious along the lines of ALS. Such a demeaning and terrible disease. Or B)is it something that revolves around any mental health or addiction issues. Either way, tons of good vibes to the Pegula's.
  10. You joke, but I just pulled the roster into excel and Anderson drops the average age by 8 months to 25.1 years old. That is insane for one dude. He is basically Tom Berenger in a "Major League"
  11. This feels like a shift in the last few weeks. “that’s Buffalo Sabres hockey. It’s fast and it’s fun” - Comrie This last week has felt a lot like this team finally figured out “Buffalo Sabres Hockey”
  12. I don’t need to see Comrie again at this point. Anderson has to played well in the back up role and UPL has hit a stride. I get keeping 3, and he’ll have to get games to stay loose, but I would call the experiment over for this season.
  13. The Polish used to basically be drunk through the entirety of the World Championships.
  14. As a guy who used to live at the Olympic training center in a different sport a lot of this is true and not true at the same time. Some athletes are good at partying and performing at a super high level. Some aren’t. Most elite athletes when it’s time to drink drink way more than the average person. A lot of professional and personal repression goes into being an elite athlete. Haha.
  15. I thought this would be a really tough 4 game stretch and if we could get out 2-2 I’d be happy. We’ve struggled in back to backs and dense schedules. I think so much of that comes from all of our production coming from our top line. But we’ve had production from basically everybody but our top line. A lot of player stepping up, we’re moving Tage around a ton. We might be able to get through this stretch. Let’s go!!!!
  16. Makes more happen than some are willing to admit? He has been downright good at times the last few weeks. He’s really cut down on the the turnovers.
  17. This team was fast and skated hard the first few months of the season. They were so much fun to watch. Win or loseS The team the last few weeks looks slow and even lazy at points. Super frustrating. You don’t have be talented to keep skating hard.
  18. The team could use a Vanek. Who just gets beat up all night but camps out and picks up the rebound. We almost never get multiple opportunities on a shot.
  19. Right, I look back and think “well…” (insert defense of goal). But I keep coming back to the fact that we’re something like 4-8 and maybe 4-9 tonight with him in net. He’s not done, but sticking with him is becoming a difficult pill to swallow.
  20. They don’t do a great job in front of the net in either end. It feels like there’s almost nobody there to knock in the trash offensively. Even on our last hot streak I’ve been thing about how a Vanek-like center would help a ton.
